Thoughts on ladder finish this year

Injuries play a major part these days. I hope we can finish top 8. I just hope we can get all the "stars to line up" with a mix of young guns/experienced players/good injury run sometime in the next 2-3 years to have a real crack at a flag.

It's like a bloody puzzle AFL footy. You have to get all the bits in the right place at the same time to have a chance at seeing your work pay off.

Well Clement is back out on the track, Didak is having a fast recovery, Anthony will be out for a month, Holland back 6 weeks into the season, I say we should have a full side again by about mid season

5th-10th.

I am thinking we'll be somewhere in the bottom 4 of the 8, I was hoping for this year to be our push for Top 4, but injuries might keep us back, and after our finals series last year I think we have a ways to go.

Rocca and Fraser have massive years: 9th-12th. If not, fighting out for the spoon with the Kangas

I don't see how injuries are such a big concern.
We had a bad stretch of injuries from mid to late season last yer and finished 5th after 22 rounds.
Think of it this way: We win 4 of the first 6 and then have all of our top 22 back. No biggie really.

Problem for the victorian clubs is that 10 clubs will be fighting for the 3 remaining spots in the 8. You would again expect the interstate clubs to dominate the 8. I think we can finish ahywhere between 7th-10th. I am hoping we don't suufer to much in the early rounds with Didak and Holland missing, and also hopeful that the younger guys can take the next step, particulary up forward, with the likes of T Cloke, Rusling, Egan taking the next step.

I have it on good authority that we are going to win the flag this year. We only have to have a bit of luck as to who we play in the finals - with wins over both GF teams I think we have a lot to build on. I think in a really even comp it all falls to injuries and where and when we meet a couple of top 8 sides in the finals.
