Absolutely loving the way Dean Bailey has the boys playing.

Straight down the guts, cutting through the zones employed by oppisitions. Playing on at all costs. Fast exciting play, that I can see working well week in, week out very soon :thumbsu:

Yeah, when we move the ball on quickly and take it coast to coast, we are almost unstoppable.

There are a number of passages of play that I can remember which left me totally amazed, such as the end to end goal following Jolly's behind in the 4th quarter, as well as the quick movemet which resulted in Bate kicking a goal after a great pass from Morton.

Collingwood were powerless to resist at times, and I think that risky, through the corridor style of football is what we need to look to in order to succeed. In previous weeks, I think we've gone away from that a bit and it has cost us, so it was really pleasing to see a return to that approach again.

It always helps when you get the ball to the elite kickers. Davey, Morton and Bate. All good today.

Surprised the Pies didn't put a hard tag on Flash, given what happened with Carrazzo last week. He was also close to BOG in Round 2 when we nearly got up.

I though Jaxson (yes i think that seriously is how you spell his name) Barham tagged him all day, but Davey was able to beat him and run at speed and use the ball beautifully through the zone. I'm surprised they didn't go with Wellingham (or if they did, didn't go with him earlier).

Despite the fact that neither of them can kick I think the pies missed Johnson and Ball today. Those two remove Barham from the team and probably free up Beams to play half forward where he is at his best.

very true, and i liked baileys approach to coaching today, moving the ball around the zone was very smart, all we need is that intensity back, the tackling

I'm still shitty about the 1st quarter efforts out of the gate - we need to own at that point. However I did like the wall breaking runs and creative handballs.

Funny though, looked at the replays of Dean Bailey facepalming a lot.

its funny there has been a big thing about teams not being able to come back, but with our starts for the past 5-6 weeks, some of them we had caught at least back with them

Exactly right - that was the one element which really seems to still be missing, looking back through it again.

We got pretty well smashed in the tackle count by the Pies - ended up 91-48 in the end, although we improved a lot in that regard after the first term...
