He never wanted to go was the word from a mate of mine who was a close family friend. With Kel at Richmond and Andrew not getting games at Port he is defintley the one to target imo.

I dont want to get Andrew Moore Just because he is Kelvins Brother. Would only want him if he is any good. Is he really the answer to sort our back line out or make it better? I dont think so

I dont know much about him amcre but a guy not getting a game at Port of all places wouldnt be worth a 2nd rounder plus a starting 22 player IMO. Seems riduclous to me. I would suspect Edwards as a straight swap or just a 2nd rounder would be plenty.

Happy to be turned around but can you give me some reasons other than junior form which I know was good.

Edwards is pretty much worth nothing.

Moore was a top 15 pick and whilst he hasn't shown alot at senior level (this is only his second year) it may be attributed somewhat to being homesick. He's a good sized atheltic wing/half forward and was widely considered to be a late first round pick. Even if he wants to come home he has more currency than Edwards.

He is a top ten pick in his second year and has suffered from some injuries along the way. Still hasn't re-signed let him walk into the draft and pick him up with are third or forth round pick or even get him in the PSD if were the lowest placed Vic club.

Another name i wouldn't mind us looking at is Dawson Simpson from the Cats 206cm and 105kgs still only 22. Played just three game(one this year) but was a second round pick in the 2007 'Superdraft' with Cats already having Ottens, Vardy, Blake and West the Cats would let him go for relevently cheap you would think.

Carlile is 192cm but has great strength and weighs 101 and is only 24. Has played on power forwards for years and has matched it for strength with the likes of Jonathon Brown. Would be a much better option than Trengrove in my opinion although Trengrove is taller Carlile is definately the better player. Height doesnt matter if you can't play and there are still big question marks on Trengroves abilitity imo. Trengrove reminds me of a tall Mcguane, no thanks.

I've always been a fan of carlile and was disappointed when i heard him linked to GWS because i always wanted him in richmond colours. But we still do need a big monster defender, our defence looks a lot better with grimes rance batchelor newman carlile (and then a big defender).

Andrew moore was pick 8 or something i think, likended to stevie j i think at the time. Wouldnt mind him at all if we could strike a good deal

Ottens is in the twilight of his career, Vardy is being played forward to good effect, Blake and West aren't quite AFL first ruck quality. Simpson is their future, so he would be 100% required by the Cats. You'd get Blake or West cheap I would imagine, but wouldn't be getting anything better than we already have.

Don't want him because he is kelvins brother, I want him
Because he is a quality player and a top ten pick who didn't want to go there. We are not in the position to knock back quality players and he is one who would choose to come to us due to Kelvin. Another hff/mid rotation.

i would also be keen to go after andrew moore, he is a smart player with good skills, would probably be worth a second rounder in this draft, or someone like edwards
