Clark, O'Brien and Fogarty. Okay. Only question is, if Clark's kicking skills are poor, will West Coast be able to improve them ? We don't seem to have a great record at improving players kicking.

yep i mucked up the rankine one - but its so easy to sit there and say, ldu 1, raynor 2, dow 3, and do the same as everyone employed by the AFL says and act like its some sort of masterstroke on your behalf that you picked the same as cal twomey

Personally I didn't mind it except for Hayes at 15. Some of your predictions may be wrong but it's refreshing to see something different to the usual mocks.

Its not because we disagree with your picks, too me it looks like you've done little research on the players and some clubs needs, I'd never rip into to someone just because their opinion differs

i based on what i felt clubs needed - it may be less knowledgable than some, but they are not that crazy.

Your knowledge of team needs seems about par for this board. For example a lot of mocks have us taking Hayes.

Lions need key forwards. Walker no good, Schache left, Close delisted. That leaves Hipwood, and he cant do it by himself. Plus Stef Martin is 30, so only has 2-3 years left.

They will get Ballendan as well - but Hayes would give them another option in attack.

Lions midfield is decently stocked, and their backline is decent. there are not many talls in this draft, so for the lions to nab 2, i think is a great draft. Davies-uniacke and Garner add to the midfield. so really, you need height in attack.

On top of the KPF's next year, which (sorry for assuming you'll do bad next year) one of Lukosious or Max King will probably be within Brisbane's pick range

Hey i am most likely wrong - Lions probably wont take Hayes due to the fact they will probably get ballanden. meaning they would take garner or maybe allen at 15. Just don't know who is better around that pick for them than hayes.

Sorry Mate but North will not take a Key Defender with there first or second picks, they have already stated they are after Mids, I won't jump on you like some others, but if you have a good look the North list you will see a number of young Key Defenders there already.

Why would the Dockers take a half back flanker at pick#5 when they need midfielders and forwards. They recruited Wilson to take Weller's place.

I have never undertaken anything like this, but i am keen on having a crack at attempting a draft. So here's my list of the first 30 players.


4. Nth Melb - Aaron Naughton
in a big surprise, Nth melb go after Aaron Naughton to add a key position defender to their ageing talls. in a draft with limited talls at the top end, Nth need some defenders that can play for the next 10 years. Naughton is that guy.


24. Nth Melb - Charlie Ballard
running tall player who can be allowed to develop on the wing or HBF.

Not a chance in hell. Thread is clearly a piss take.
