So how do you rate the Tigers chances?

have we improved since earlier in the season, or are we gunna get spanked again?

I recon we have a 20-25% chance.

Whichever team wins, it will be the only Victorian team to win two or more in a row :)

id say the tigers have a good chance in this game.. Although the saints did look good and show some form against carlton we still have a big injury list and carlton are on the bottom of the ladder..

If we get a win in this game the saints can jump to atleast 7th on the ladder by percentage.. jumping the looser of the sydney/melbourne game and richmond (if we won).. and could even get as high as 3rd... not that this will happen it just shows how close the comp is this year.
a real oppertunity for st kilda to get back amounst the finals contenders.

The saints or the tigers cant afford to give any games away in their season campaine and its now or nothing for their seasons. Every game is extreamly important from here on to get the points.

Look forward to this game.. starting to get a bit of a finals feel in games with the ladder so close.

It's a shame that the West Coast v Brisbane game is this round because if ever a game is befitting match of the round status it is this one.

I don't think it would be a massive upset if the Tigers got up. From our perspective the season is well and truly on the line and I really hope that will be enough to get us over the line.

They're calling it Super Saturday. 4 massive games on.
They'll all be played with finals like intensity. Time to see who can handle the pressure. If it's not raining I reckon there will be 60,000 at the G.

N.Brown is a big out, this frees up Bakes to take cogs full time. This game will be won in the midfield and that's where I see us just killing you.

Maxy normally has the wood over Richo so if he can turn that around it will be a close game.

We will not have as strong a side as last time and Richmond are a better unit than we accounted for on the Anzac Day weekend.

I exept Richmond to really take it up to us and if we play like we did for a half against Carlton we could find ourselves staring down the barrell of a big half time defecit.

However for all my doom and gloom, we played very well against the bullies and that second half training drill against the blues was very impressive, it reminded me of March-June last year, happy times!!

Quite honestly this game will be won and lost in the mid-field, Knobel will be pumped up to deliver his mid-field quality ball but I think he might have his work cut out for him against a Kossie/Ackland tag team.

If Len, Dal and Bally get their hands on it like last week our forwards will be licking their lips in anticipation, no backline can contend with that kind of delivery!!

Any way cutting to the chase I fear this game like I haven't against Richmond for a couple of years, if our boys waver in their intensity the tiges will be more than happy to expose us. I do find it hard (in the wake of the second half against the blues) to tip against us, I think our boys know that they cannot afford to drop this one and will be to good in the end by about 22 points.

Expect Kosi to spend most of the time in the ruck like our previous game agaisnt Richmond this year, this is to expose his lack of mobility a good coaching tactic.

I think Simmonds will do most of the Ruck work this week. He is used against smaller or thinner Ruckmen due to his sheer bulk.

Who the Tiges have whi can stop Milne will be interesting, as will what the Saints can do to match up on Tuck.

It should be a good game. I'm not confident of beating you guys because of the way we were smashed last game. Midfield will be important.

Last time I said this is the best chance we'll get to beat the Saints. (Anzac Weekend)

Well, I guess this time is the best chance we'll get to beat the Saints.

Honestly, we need to win this game to be deserving of our spot in the 8. If we can't beat the undermanned Saints, we don't deserve to be in the 8.

Should be a cracker of a game, I'll be there.

Good luck to both teams (more so to us hopefully :P)

Hopefully (for St Kilda) he doesn't get smashed to bits by Simmonds & Knobel!,

I think if Richmond can stop Gehrig then setup from half back through quick accurate long kicking then I think we stand a good chance. However If St Kilda's midfield are pinpointing to Gehrig at will then will in some trouble. Midfield pressure and rebound is the key for Richmond in my uneducated opinion.

i think you guys will win because of your midfield will be to much for tuck and cogs and with johnson unlikely play i dont think we can win.

Hopefully Maxy will be able to keep Richo out of the game. I think our midfield should be able to get on top and bakes will most likely go to Coughlan and hopefully nulify his impact. If Kosi takes marks like he did on the weekend i think it will be hard for any defender to stop him when he goes forward. Finally I think Newman will most likely be matched up on Milne. Will be an interesting battle if it takes place.

St Kilda over 39.5 points: $3.50

Looks like good value with a lazy 20 on it.

Go ahead if you want to lose your money.

Tigers at the G on a wet Saturday is a different proposition than earlier in the year. We should win quite easily in the end and finish off the Saints slim finals hopes.

So you reckon the Tigers odds should be about $4 or $5?

I really hope we can get up and considering we've won the last 4 games against the Tigers, if we win we will thrash em, otherwise Richmond will sneak home.

But I'm nervous about this game, if we lose we will not make the finals. We have a good run over the next few weeks and if we don't take advantage of this game it's all over.

NO crybaby captain, no hamill, no harvey, and i hear possibly no gehrig - from a very reliable source.

Riewoldt didn't play in the Rd. 5 game...and Stafford kicked 4 for Richmond.

Just sayin'....

it is essential that we win this. While everyone says this will be won and lost in the midfield, i think it will be decided in the forward lines. If maxy can keep richo quiet, then i think the tiges are in trouble! hopefully frase can have a good game, along with kossie and milne.

If we lose this, we won't make the finals.

My concerns are Gehrig, Milne and Guerra, if they get the ball it could be another whooping.
Wet weather may suit them.
