Dogs season on the line... if they lose they wont make the top 4..

Re: Bring on the dogs....

put it in the book, we've won this one already.

Blimey we get (over)confident quickly.

Dogs season on the line... if they lose they wont make the top 4..

They've (along with St Kilda) fallen away a lot sharper than I expected. As recently as a few weeks ago I would've expected to be beaten comfortably now after today's performance we're a real chance.

If the Doggies aren't fired up for this one then they don't deserve a top 4 spot.

Re: Bring on the dogs....

Dogs are not top-4 material i'm afraid. They have been thereabouts for a long time, but it takes it's toll when you see different sides come up from below you as they have (Pies, Saints, Blues) and likely pass you without even reaching the summit. I reckon the Tigers are playing with amazing energy, confidence and passion, and simply put i cannot see the Dogs overcoming that. You kicked 23 goals today, a fantastic score and a sign that your club is really lifting as a group. Can it be believed that a calendar year ago, the Tigers were wondering when they'd ever get a win from??

Take it from me, Richmond is at the dawn of exciting times.....and i reckon you will all thoroughly enjoy being Tiger fans for quite some time to come. The Dogs, they have tried and failed now for several years, they made the 8 in 2006 and a lot of their group have been up for that 5-6 season period now. The Pies smashed them when they gave it their all...the Dogs were beaten broken hearted. Losing to Sydney at a 'home' game in Canberra would also hurt them. The Tigers next week will apply the 'coup de grace' to the Dog's serious finals prospects. And who know....maybe provide a massive boost to your own!!

Re: Bring on the dogs....

Next two weeks are huge

Bulldogs and Essendon.

Cannot wait until Sunday.

And suddenly we are good enough where moving our home game to Darwin (when we would thrash Port Adelaide at the MCG) becomes a major irritation.

Lets show the Dogs how much we can outnumber them.

we're good enough IF they ALL get up on the day.

Having said that,**** i hate the dogs-Lets ****ing smash 'em!!!

They gave us the biggest towelling in the opening game in 2008 at Etihad. I spend a shedload on airfares and accommodation only to go home shattered. I would enjoy exacting some modicum of revenge but they arent a spent force yet. Work to do but he have the tools to do it now.

they don't have a sandilands so it'll ease graham, if hall is out for another week i'll be happy. our forward line pressure is amazing, i think in the third and last quarter everything was played in our forward 50. we are pretty good at breaking the opposition's zone defense. interesting to see how it'll pan out in the next couple of games, if we beat the dogs and the bombers we are real contenders for the 8.

I see us beatign the dogs. Hall wont be back int he team they have no forward structure at the moment. Which is a big plus for our defence. They dont have Sandilands. I dont highly rate minson and i expect Gus will beat him there. The bombers ran all over them. We are just as quick as the bombers, I can see us runing the game out well especially after the dogs come back from Sydney.

The dogs are dwindling sadly. Need to really start re-recruiting youth as they have some good youngsters to build around.

Edit: Who to tag? Boyd, Cooney etc?

Very handy for us and Jack that they have given Lake 3 weeks at Werribee. He could really put them to the sword. Still, I am not confident of winning this or any game.

Only stopped chewing my fingernails with 7 minutes to go in the last quarter today. 7 minutes of enjoyment is not enough :)

I hear what you are saying.
I am the same didn't feel safe until about the same time.
So many years of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory will do that.
I wonder how long it will take to have confidence that we have games won just because we are us !!!
I remember those days

Now this is the big test, we've won 3 in a row and come up against a top 4 side from last year who are going to be gunning for us after losing the last 2 weeks. If we're truly turning things around then we need to win this one and win it well. Then we can start believing the hype.

This is the best time to get them if we can. They are low on confidence, we are not. I reckon if we can weather the first quarter onslaught that will come our way (they will have the backs to the wall mentality), we are a massive show. After seeing us again in the flesh, i believe we have the skill and pace to match them.

So let me get this straight.......

No Hall, No Lake

:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

We need this win to really make other teams stand up and take notice

Dogs probably have murdered us more than anybody when we turn it over, at their best they move it quick and accurate. REALLY need to fix our first quarters, could of been down 4-5 goals against Freo and Bulldogs could put some on us quick if we start poor again.

Certainly going to be our best chance in a while against them and while we probably won't go in favorites it's a game we would be disappointed to lose and would be great to go into the Dreamtime game with 4 wins on the trot!

Dreamtime at the G' a sellout if we win this one?

If neither teams dropped another game before then you would have to think 85-90k would be a fair chance.

Am travelling down for the Dreamtime game so really hoping we fire against the dogs, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

We've beaten the 2 poorest teams in North and Brisbane, and a travelling Fre which is just about the 3rd worst team when travelling.

On the plus side is how we finished the Freo game, and who starred for us.

Bulldogs are better than all those 3... but I reckon we're a good chance.

Cmon Tigers... lets get 90,000 to the Dremtime match and show my Qld girlfriend what footy is all about.
