Does anyone else think we should have targeted him? I personally think he would've came fairly cheap and is just what we need. He is also still quite young.

I forget which team it was but apparently Boyle failed a medical that he undertook during the week so that club steered away....I'm glad we did too!!

Heard that too CF. Not sure if SEN named the club, but Boyle did have a medical & failed, apparently.
Steer clear of him if that's true.

GO BLUES!!!!!!!!

That's a very bad sign. If this is true, i'm gald we stayed away from him.

Thanks for that CF. If that is the case then i guess im glad we didn't chase him haha.

It was the Bulldogs that put him through a fairly standard physical and he didn't do very well at all.

Also, a very one-sided player who has no defensive skills.

Prefer others

I am sorry to see Timmy Boyle didnt get traded, as he is a ripper bloke, with the potential to be a good, 5 goal a game, FF. Most hawk supporters are disappointed he didnt get traded as most of us would like to see him succeed elsewhere, as his opportunities are obviously limited at Hawthorn. Besides Mark Williams he is our most accurate kick in front of goals, and is a good mark on the lead. I think u couldve done worse to pick him up with a second or third rounder or so, as he will be good value to wherever he ends up, altho looks like hes now staying with the hawks. Timmy didnt actually want to be traded, and his preferred option was to apparently stay with the hawks, seemingly in an attempt to pay off the faith shown when he missed 2 years with his horrific leg inury.

As to the failed medical, I am not aware of the particulars, altho he did finish the season with a hip injury, so that may have been the issue with the assessment.

I think he wouldve been better value than ROK, altho u may get him for a song via the draft.

Geelong tried to trade Steve Johnson. But he failed a medical! Despite that he managed to to win them a norm Smith.:p

First thing that came to my mind too BW although Boyle has spud-like qualities that simply don't make him worth any effort.
