This bloke has a three f'ing year contract !! Three years !!
He'll do what Knights did to the bummers !!
God help us !

TIm Nielsen is a tool!!

Yep..

And, James Sutherland is related to Peter Jackson.

James Sutherland has sent Australian cricket backwards since he did not do anything in enticing Rod Marsh back to Australian cricket after September 2005.

Steve Rixon is the man to coach Australia!!!

THE GOV

I have always held the opinion that Tim Nielsen is a very very poor coach and should have never been appointed. The last few months have proven my theory even more correct.

His contract extension is yet another leaf in a sorry debacle. It would be like Richmond deciding to give Terry Wallace a 3 year contract extension after all his problems.

**** me, I forgot this bumbling fool got a extension in August.
Why?
Their is zero reason to suggest he deserves it or that it needed to be done then.
Heads should roll for this shit.

Trevor Bayliss would be a good coach for Australia he has done wonders with the Sri Lankans.

Na!!

Steve Stumper Rixon is the man to replace Tim the TOOL Nielsen as the Director of Coaching. Bayliss has done wonders for Sri Lankan cricket, but he has not got the runs on the board for rebuilding a side from scratch. If you recall, New South Wales were still struggling whilst he was still coach of NSW!!

Stumper has the runs on the board for rebuilding sides from scratch. He is a tough task master and he will bring tough love into this Australian test side. Within 12 months, he will have the youngsters playing like test legends.

And, here is something for you bloggers to ponder:

  1. James Sutherland is a former Victorian Fast Bowler who was a Finance Manager for the Carlton FOotball Club and moved to Cricket Australia as its financial controller whilst Malcolm Speed was CEO.
  2. Merv Hughes was known for his antics and his public affection for kissing Allan Border on the cheek after he got a wicket!!
  3. David Boon is known for his beer drinking feats in 1989 and he is the face of the KFC ad and Boonie doll.
  4. Andrew Hilditch was dismissed for handling the ball and hooked himself out of the test side. You would not know that he was close to signing onto the Rebel Tour of South Africa back in the 80s.
  5. Andrew Hilditch has stuffed up Australian cricket.
  6. Andrew Hilditch's father in law is Bobby Simpson. Simpson nearly stuffed up Mark Waugh by telling Mark Waugh to abandon the hook and pull shot.
  7. Jamie Cox could not get a game for Australia!
  8. Boon, HIlditch and Cox are known as 2 Point Charlies. They were defensive captains who always played conservative cricket when they captained their respective states.
You wonder why Australian cricket is in a mess. They gave the Happy Hooker the responsibility to lead the selection panel and he has gone against the previous selection decisions of Australian cricket. Sir Donald Bradman would be turning in his grave!!

THE GOV

Hiditch played for (not with) himself totally and was a selfish player in that regard. Terrible role model and picks blokes like himself. Greg Chappell was an ordinary captain and very selfish. NB Oh I don't think I will go on that tour. Boon no shakes as captain and Tasmania is flourishing since the Cox era gone. Bring back Trevor Hohns, at least he had the guts to tell blokes to retire or else.

Apparently Hohns was a bit of a prick, and the players hated him. Maybe we need more selectors like that, a less "buddy-buddy" selectors like Merv Hughes and David Boon.

Merv, Hilditch, Boon and Cox were too close to the players. They allowed the players to dictate their time to retire.

I think we call 3 out of the 4 selectors (excluding Greg Chappell) the incompetent dumb musketeers!!

I think you are spot on, we really need people with balls to make the tough selections regardless of there relationship with players. I don't think Warnie should be a selector either. Steve Waugh would be one that springs to mind and even Tom Moody.

SK Warne is too busy at the minute and he would come across as a hypocrite if he decided to accept CA's offer of becoming coach of Australia.

Here is my coaching and selection structure:

DIRECTOR OF COACHING: Steve Rixon
HEAD COACH: Troy Cooley
ASSISTANT COACH: Darren Berry
BATTING COACH: Barry Richards
FAST BOWLING COACH: Allan Donald

CHAIRMAN OF SELECTORS: Greg Chappell (Talent Manager: Full Time)
SELECTORS: Darren Lehmann, Rodney Malcolm Hogg and Allan Border

At Board level, I just hope the CA Board will overthrow James Sutherland as CEO and appoint Graeme Wood or Tony Dodemaide as the new CEO.

And, the Chairman of CA should be the great DK Lillee!!!

THE GOV

If Warne is too busy, then I would give the coaching job to Justin Langer. If Darren Berry or Cooley are anywhere near a coaching squad I'll kill someone. What has Cooley done...in 4 years he has stuffed Johnson up! Richards will not be available, has business interests.

What has Justin Langer done to be considered as coach?
He has done nothing at all, his success as our batting coach suggests he should have no chance at all.
Alan Border is the man for the job he could beca arseh*le of a coach unlike the current set up of coaches and selectors being too matey with players and not making the hard calls.
Cooley and Langer are both terrible suggestions.

Langer has one of the best cricket brains out there and also would be available and that is one of the key factors. I don't mind Border but I would rather a younger coach, don't mind AB in some role though.

Justin langer is a complete wank IMO, just another one of the boys who got himself a job because he is a yes man. Our batting has gone downhill since he became batting coach.

Loved him as a player, but he is not a coach.
He is to close to the players to be coach, considering our current position elevating a member of our coaching panel that has seen us go backwards at a rapid rate is pure idiocy.

Australia need a coach from outside the currenting setup. They should try to bring in Gary Kirsten from India- if India have a disatrous World Cup he may get the axe or look at Bangaldesh's coach who has done great with pretty much no financial support.

I read somewhere that Venkatash Prasad was being considerd by CA or something as a bowling consultant and he was open to the idea. He could teach how to bowl line and length and swing the bowl. He is quite good at working on wrist positions from what I have read.

Steve Stumper Rixon is the man to replace Tim Nielsen. However, CA should create a Coaching Director position and Stumper would love the role.

Under the Coaching Director postion, there is a need for a Head Coach. Troy Cooley is the man. A previous blogger blamed Troy for stuffing up Johnson. He got Johnson right and Mitch bowled well against South Africa back in 2008-2009 before the England disaster.

A coach or teacher cannot do the job for the athlete. The coach or teacher is an advisor and educator whose key job is to utilise his interpesonal skills to get the athlete to maximise his or her ability.

If you look at Mitchell Johnson, he is not up to test match standard. If Troy is spending all the time with him since 2009 to correct his faults, Mitchell Johnson's mind or character is not up for the job. He does not have the mental makeup to change his bowling action.

It is up to Mitchell to clear his mind to improve his bowling. Troy COoley cannot bowl the ball for him at all.

If Stumper declines the role, I would look at Mickey Arthur as our new Coaching Director. He would work wonders for Australian cricket and he would defintely put a few noses out of joint.

And, the assistant coaches would be Barry RIchards (Batting); Allan Donald (Fast Bowling); Mike Young (Fielding) and the great SK Warne (Spin bowling).

Surely we can find an Aussie good enough to coach Australia rather than start recruiting clowns from other countries.

Steve Stumper Rixon is the man to coach Australia!!

He would do a better job than Tim the TOOL MAN Nielsen!!

Tim Nielsen is the Matty Knights of Australian cricket whilst Cricket Australia and James Sutherland are directly related to Peter Jackson.

Australian cricket is stuffed.

It will take 10 years to fix.

rubbish, we will sit around 5th while some of the kids develop, 5 years and I reckon we will be building a quality side ready to take down the likes of England.
