There is little advantage to being financially stronger. As long as we are not a burden. We just get taxed more if we are more successful, like the other three most financially successful clubs, Pies, Hawks and WCE.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, the AFL thinks about club money as being a financial resource they can take and do whatever they want with. They do not recognize Richmond money (which comes from Richmond members) as belonging to Richmond. Hence the additional tax we cop. At least we are not alone though.

In summary, there is no point chasing financial gains like the OP has suggested.
