This weeks game against our old foes, the Eagles is our chance to seek revenge
for 2006. They are struggling to re- build their list, with obvious losses via drugs
etc. We need to go there and hammer them big time! Our boys were not intimated in Adelaide,so why not! The core of our team from 06 final are still there, and remember how we came so close to a double premiership.
Our new players, are probably well aware of both clubs close rivalry in recent
times.

The hammering (both on the scoreboard and Stakers face) they copped last time wasn't enough to satisfy your revenge fantasies bradman?

The hatred runs deep in this one.

I won't feel satisfied until we beat them in a grand final again.

Might be waiting a while!

^Oh god i locked myself in my room cried my eyes out feel asleep from making myself exhausted from crying missed dinner and slept through breakfast i was so drained from that game.

I kinda hate seeing west coast so poorly off atm as much as i hate them for beating us by 1 point in 06 i love nothing more than the rivalry we have established with them! As much as i love whooping teams butts i love close games where we come out on top because we played well and were the stronger team! I almost found myself very bored in the 3rd term of the tigers game last sunday (if it wasnt for Jarred Moores good looks).

Anyway i do hope we win cause we a running into some serious fine form and are proving so many critics who wrote us off in the pre season VERY VERY WRONG! So heres 2 a good game but a game we win on good terms & a win we WORK for!

One thing ill miss this week for entertainment reasons...the reaction of the crowd if big bad bazza were 2 play!

Now Collingwood (love em)...Thats a different story...i believe they are the NEW rival!

Was anyone else slightly disappointed that we won so comfortably in Rd 4? I knew the floodgates had to open eventually, but that string of 6 tight games was pure magic.

Also... The 06 GF loss was heartbreaking. But in the washup, one apiece was definately a fair result. I don't begrudge them their premiership.

Should be a comfortable win on Saturday. Not as confident as I should be on paper.

the hall-staker incident, then hall playing in a twilight zone the rest of the game and ultimately breaking his wrist all made it a surreal experience in round four
but probly the weirdest thing was just how awful and insipid the weagles were
i'd never seen them so pathetic ... from the first bounce

i'd expect they'll be better but it's not like they're anything like the team from 06
blokes such as braun, stenglein, fletcher, lynch, selwood, even glass and a few others, all rated stars in the premiership team, have been exposed as being ordinary on their own
the biggest shame is that the uber-bogan, hunter, is still out (that's right, yes?) ... there's not the same joy at all in beating the weagles if he's not their to have his white-trash haircut and smirk smeared with his own shite in defeat

Are you really Darren Jolly ?

hmmm, just read the weagles have now lost matt rosa, on top of josh kennedy (he'll be a star for them eventually), shannon hurn and chad jones through injury
and worsfold might have to "rush back" hunter

wouldn't that be a pisser, an injured hunter forced to play
maybe micky o could hassle him a bit, remind him how heckin'g weak it is to bump and knock hurt players

They beat the 4TH place side by 50 points 2 weeks ago........

I'll be happy with a 1 point win :)

Have a look at who that 4th placed team has played?????
Have they played Geelong or Hawthorn yet?????
They were beaten by the Doggies in round 1.....
I don't think the Crows are as good as we are giving them credit for . They have mainly played lower ranked sides.....

i don't rate the crows, wouldn't be surprised if they slid right out of the 8, i think they have a hard draw from here

The thing is that they are 4th and history shows not many teams if any have dropped out of the top 8 from that possie after 10 rounds

But they haven't played serious Top 8 contenders this year at all, save WBD from Round One, a match which they lost.

history also features season draws far different from the way this one's been done
after this week v tigers in melb (which is no gimme), they've got hawthorn, brisbane (away), the cats, pies (away), port, then us at the scg, and they finish with saints (away) and the dogs
where will they be if they win only, say, 5-6 games from here?

they were beaten by less than a kick by the Dogs...

until their shocker against the Eagles they had only lost 2 games ...against the sides who have only lost 1 game each, and both of those games were away from home

do you honestly think they are NO chance of beating Hawthorn in a fortnight??

if the crows don't finish top 6 i'll be amazed

Were you allowed to go to school the next week? My God, it's like listening to my 11 year old niece.

You blokes by 40 points - easy.

I actually liked our old rivalry - two tough teams pretty well matched. We're in a crap place right now but it won't last. Hope you do well in the rest of the season.

It doesn't matter who they play, they always get favoured by the umps at home, which does make some difference.

In a 2 horse race, there is always a chance of a win.

I'm not saying that they won't make finals from here, but I'd be very suprised if they finish top 4. I would think between position 6-8 would be more realistic.....;)

I enjoyed the contest too. We were in an awful place for a while last season, but seem to have fixed the problems a bit with getting some younger blokes into our side. The difference is though, you blokes have lost 2 pretty handy footballers, were we've only turned over on our own accord.

Interesting to see that from an outsiders view point, is that Kerr seems to be struggling without Juddy and Cous around ..... Is it injury or the fact he now gets the No 1 tag?????

Time to take your grumpy pills, Uncle Fester. Do those hemmoroids need draining? They will after the swans kick your sorry team's ass once more.

Wouldnt be talking it up like that if I were you. I reckon this is going to be a really tough game despite how poorly the Eagles have been playing. They will be fired up to beat us at home.

I just took offense at the mexican weasel taking a pot shot at Soph.

And quite frankly, I dont think this game will be close at all.

I'm probably more confident about this game than I have been about any this season. The eagles are fielding and extremely young side and if you have a look at our history the past few seasons we more often than not destroy the young and inexperienced teams, especially this year.

Swans by 40-140
