Because a few wins against a mediocre windies side and a pakistan side that has barely played over the last few years and is missing their second best batsmen is a really good indication that we are back in business.

FFS wait till we play against decent opposition.

totally agree there, i dont mind our bowling attack, it will be much more potent if hilfy is fit and replaces siddle, the major worry for us is our batting, ponting and hussey are shadows of their former selves and are struggling when the pressure is really on, north is suspect under pressure as well, I really think we need to adopt some youth with the batting, it's really struggling, we have been blessed with these opening partnerships from watson and katich and luckily for the middle order they have had a platform set

I worry that Clarkes back is worse than he is letting on, as pointed out in he looks stiff in the field chasing the ball etc and cant bowl, and his batting form has been down as well.

Our attack is definitely getting better. Beating up on Pakistan is no great feat but they are bowling very well. The injuries to Siddle and Hilf have been a fair blow but it has opened the door for Bolinger who has been excellent.

When Hilf and Siddle are back to 100% it is going to be a very interesting time for the selectors. But it is a good position to be in, when a bowler who has a genuine claim to be a worthy part of the test attack has to be left out.

If you look back at some of Australia's tests over the last 18 months you can certainly see a huge amount of progress.

4th test vs India in November 2008: Lee, Johnson, Watson, Krezja, White.

Ouch.
