It's fair because he's a player that fits our need perfectly and IMO with the rise of Jetta .......Sydney would not be left with a hole if he left

Whilst it has been said he's prepared to move .....we have no idea as it's probably rumor and he probably hasn't even had a conversation with Sydney about it
Isn't he also good mates with Dangerfield?

Hypothetically if it got to the end of the week and still no Sydney deal and Tippett's camp advised that it was okay to deal with GC, Bris, GWS whoever it may be, woul you guys still despise him just as much?

not quite as much, but still a lot.

The polite thing for kurt to have done would have been to say 'im happy to be traded wherever i will get $4mil over 4 years, as every city that has an AFL team also has surf beaches within a 30 minute drive.

yes, just for putting us through this for a couple of weeks.

Alex I think my reply went over your head, sauce source.

yep and due to the it's been a really long day, it still has.

There's been nothing mentioned about that trade, but he would have to be going to the Saints.

I was under the impression it was north melb or the western bulldogs.

I don't despise him at all. Footy's a business these days. Just dissapointed

Yes! Simply because of the way he and his manager have handled this! He has lost the respect of his former team mates, coaches, club and supporters but interestingly his reputation in the AFL community in general has taken a pounding!

Yes. It will be too late to work any other meaningful trades if he changes his mind on Friday.

With that in mind, should he be thinking about the whole GWS PSD threat when would you guys call the deadline? I personally if I was in Adelaide's shoes would tell Sydney the deal gets done tomorrow (a fair deal mind you) or we go and seek other offers, if he still doesn't want to play you can risk him going to your neighbours etc in psd.

You can choose to believe this or not, at the end of the day I won't care either way but here is some info I received over the weekend.

Tippett's house here in Adelaide has been packed up and the contents arrived in Sydney last week to A house he has either bought or rented. How do I know this? My mate who works for the removal company showed me a copy of the consignment note. He txt me and I called him on it so he photographed the paperwork on his phone and txt it to me as proof. It had both his Adelaide and Sydney address. Before you ask...Yes, he is aware he could be fired & yes, he doesn't think sometimes before he acts. All of this was after being forced to sign a confidentiality agreement as part of being contracted to carry out the move.
It seems as if Tippett will be in Sydney next year.

I think it's pretty clear there are three outcomes out of this saga:
1) Adelaide bend over and accept Pick 23 and White
2) Another club intervenes in the next few days and offers Adelaide something which is better than the one listed above
3) Tippett goes in the PSD

I honestly can't see the us changing our offer. We clearly value our premiership side (+Rohan/Mitchell/McGlynn) over having Tippett in the side.

So you agree 23 and White is bending us over? Why didn't one of you guys say this earlier so we could have exposed you guys a little bit earlier and saved a lot of wasted posts?

So you did a nice number on your "mate" then.

How much are you paying the others to play next year tht you value more than Tippett?

I can understand you don't rate him, personally I don't think he is the missing piece of our premiership puzzle but you would have to admit that your club must rate him highly to outbid 3 other clubs for his services for the next four years

Yeh but ...yeh but...but they're only paying him that much coz he's not gonna cost much in a trade derrr

You got Jacobs cheap because he was out of contract now it's in reverse. That's the way the system goes. Swings and roundabouts.

At his terms Tippett WILL end up at the Swans regardless (GWS, unless they trade for him, can't take him as they already have one uncontracted player from Adelaide). No-one else will pay him that much and just pass him up. Leave that in no doubt, Either take pick 23 or you don't have pick between pick 20 and 54.

Swans and Tippett win, Adelaide lose.
you are quite wrong but i dont blame you for not reading 530 pages.

We can give GWS permission and if he went to the PSD im sure we would give permission.

Sydney cant afford tippett unless they offload a players contract to another club or backend tippetts contract. noone wants jesse white;s contract and if tippett nominates too high of a salary the amount is deducted from the teams cap regardless of front back or no loading so he would have to nominate a lower figure say 750k, which other teams can afford. if he specifies 4 years he risks never getting to sydney, if he nominates 2 years at 750k gws could pick him up just to profit by trading him to sydney next year. Tippetts position is far more tenuous than he would like

Don't disagree with this, and don't blame the swans at all for having this stance, or their behaviour during the trade period.

Am disappointed in the AFC staff for appearing like amateurs during these negotiations but mostly disappointed in Tippetts behaviour. I really don't think there was any need for the lies and deceit. If he had come out and been honest, and simply stated that he wanted to out and was entertaining all offers, I don't think so many people would be upset.

We don't even have to give permission. The rule preventing GWS from taking another player via the PSD was for last year only.
