No I don't.

His manager, his father, Crows and Swans do.

Tippett would have had **** all to do with it. He would have just said - do the deal.

Well if that's the case he deserves every bit of flak directed at him. An agent works for YOU. He or she is directed by YOU. If he is stupid enough to just sign or accept anything.......ill repeat it - he is an imbecile.

Let me spell it out to you.

Ha hated living in Adelaide - full stop.

He didn't hate the club, players, administration or supporters - he hated the city of Adelaide, it's lifestyle and pace.

Sp before you go assassinating his character with little to no idea of what the hell your talking about, do your due diligence and understand why he's moving.

We all know Money has played a part but first and foremost, he wanted to leave Adelaide, also anyone in his circumstances (wanting to leave that city and was offered a 4 year $4,000,000) would do the same. If he was a "shattered man" about playing for GWS, why isn't he looking at signing with the Crows? why - he hates living in the city of Adelaide.

So after 18,775 post it's you who has no idea or your nothing but a self centered individual who is only seeing it for your own perspective.

Are you KT?

No, I'm KT.

Correct, KT is the one who is in charge, all this shit is on him!

alex - I don't mind you expressing your opinion that Kurt is being given a hard run by the posters here, but by the 50th time it's wearing a bit thin. If you have something new to add, by all means, do so. Otherwise I think you've made your point very clear.

To top it off, we now find out he's held the Club to ransom all this time.

There's a fair bit of rumour mongering and shoddy reporting going on out there. From memory you have legitimate contacts at the club. Seeing as you posted the above, I'm wondering whether you could elaborate as to by what means did kurt manage to hold the club to ransom. And when you say "all this time", what period would you be referring to.

Unrelated to KT, but I have family who are close to the Toumpas (es?) and they asked me for advice on what to get Jimmy as a 'going away' gift..... I suggested a return flight to Adelaide dated September 2014 :p

I know I've said it repeatedly, but Toumpas is why Trigg should be sacked, no matter what the AFL does.

Losing Tippett should've netted us JimmyT; one of the rare occasions where we have a chance to grab a local kid who's a top 3 pick and arguably the best mid in the draft.

****ing unbelievable that we stuff that up.

Hmmm.....I'm at SCG today and should be enjoying some cricket. But instead i just feel dirty being here. Thanks Kurt!

I don't think pick 2 for Tippett was ever on the cards.

Can someone answer me this? Tippett and Swans are in a close embrace and for many reasons each want the other desperately to the exclusion of all others, even the next door neighbour GWS. Now to keep all others at bay through the PSD etc can Tippett in collusion with Sydney, nominate a very high salary in his draft registration which still fits OK within the Swans cap.........and then after he becomes a Sydney selection, the contract is re-negotiated to a lesser more realistic figure which both camps are happy with....with Sydney giving as justification that, for example,'his concussion problems have flared up again'! So Tippett gets to the team he wants and Sydney get him for a reasonable salary, which by the way, is just in excess of the figure GWS or Lions would have agreed to to match the predraft Sydney offer. The price Sydney pay is having his original registration price firmly attached to their salary cap, which they have figured they can acccomodate anyway and everybody is laughing. But they have got their man and he has the team of his choice, while precluding other interested teams all due to an inflated registration amount. Could this ever get by the AFL?

...the contract is re-negotiated to a lesser more realistic figure which both camps are happy with....
Almost positive that's not possible. Any 'adjustment' would need to come in a subsequent contract, which, ironically enough, would require a tacit off-the-books agreement between Tippet and the Swans. Pretty sure that's how the Pies/Ball deal worked.

But it's OK to call him $kirt or some other bullshit childish name?

I guess it's OK for the masses to continue to lambaste him with unknown rumours, unknown truths and opinions that fit the common theme as long as it goes with the grain but as soon as someone steps away from the norm - they get told to have their say once but then STFU?

It's all cool as I'm now Kurt Tippett, before that I was Chris Knights and before that I was Taylor Walker because I have the audacity to stand up for the players rights. Awesome to know. I'll STFU now or better yet, I should just jump on the "I hate everyone who leaves the club train"

After 19,000 post - I would have thought people could move on from acting like 8 year old by being key board warriors and insinuating he is anything but a human being doing the best thing for his own family. It's OK -I'll shut up now as I don't give a **** about the nuff nuff's reponding.

If the city of Adelaide was the problem, would he have stayed here for six years? Would he have encouraged his brother to move here a year ago?

Really?

Try $500,000 reasons and then add another $100,000 per year. That kind helps.

His brother? really, really? It's not like he signed another contract after his brother arrived in town and as soon as his contract was up - he's goneski.

I've never said money was never an issue (that was someone else IIRC) and the contract with the Swans was too hard to turn down.
