Kurt's management of this has been stupid from the start:

- threaten Crows with court if the secret deal isn't followed: crows make it public

- threaten to sue the crows if they don't delist him: Crows point out the AFL won't let them

- Threaten to sue someone?? if his grievance tribunal case doesn't support his free movement: Case lost, he walks away and delists himself

- lawyer insists he's innocent, and will take legal action if any other finding occurs: Strong word he'll settle with 1/2 a year out

For all his threats, from my perspective he has only either made himself look like a dick, or made the situation even worse....

If it looks like a dick, and smells like a dick....

Now youre even contradicting yourself. Keep up the good work.
I'm not contradicting myself at all. Jenny's original post can be interpreted two ways. The media could be the media as a whole and the media could be a reference to individual outlets being inconsistent and all over the place. I've interpreted as the latter given Jenny's position that the Age have been full of shit. It's not contradictory or idiotic.

Sounds like Kurt may also have been cautioned about defending himself 'too vigorously'. He was going to contest his charges as of yesterday.

Afl appear to have managed this pretty well. The natural instinct of the silks woukd have been to take a macro view and simply by pass afl processes.

I think its clear that that they have massaged all parties into putting thr guns back in the holsters and instead taking an acceptable wack.

Jenny made it pretty clear that she meant the media as a whole. She said it multiple times, even.

You just "interpreted" the position that made it easiest to attack her views. It was obvious to everyone. Time to move on from it.

Gerard Wheatley on Fox Sports news

" The Crows are going to get whacked massively, and so they should. It's called salary cap rorting, but fundamentally it's cheating"

"It's really important for the AFL to whack the Crows, and I think they will"
Just another reason to hate him.

"Adelaide's penalties are unlikely to be as fierce as the $930,000 in fines and the loss of crucial draft picks that crippled the Blues a decade ago"

This is ridiculous, media are all over the place.
Some of them look at what the rules state as the maximum penalty and assume that we'll receive something close to the top end. Some of them take a more rational view, realising that our crime is nowhere near as severe as Carlton's and thus our penalty should be nowhere near as severe.

I still think we're looking at a hefty fine, but any further loss of draft picks is likely to be suspended pending good behaviour (noting that we've already lost Tippett and our 1st & 2nd draft picks in the 2012 ND).

Let's say the "whack" as it is now officially referred to is in the $300k, first 2 rounds of 2013 draft region ... who will be the public heads that will scream that it is way too low a punishment?

Terry Wallace
David "The Ox" Schwarz
John Elliott

They said VB and Danger's 3rd party deals were being looked into, not that they were definitely in the shit for it.. Then everyone went into hysterics over it and made it fact that those guys were in trouble too.. Maybe blame the stupid people who caused that..

You'd think EVERY 3rd party deal of ours would have been put under the worlds biggest microscope.. The great thing is that there was nothing else, just a one off desperate stupid decision over a guy who's not even really that good..

Seems most of what they have had to say is pretty spot on, some maybe just don't like to hear it..

Ah but here's the catch, they didn't mention the fact that all our tpps were being looked at. We had 6 - 4 for Tippett and 1 each to vb and danger. Rather they made it sound like something it was not.

Clarification. I meant the media as a whole, explained this to you and you still refuse to accept that was my meaning. Secondly, show me where I've said everything she wrote was crap!
