Ball, Jolly and Medhurst were All Australian players whist on Collingwood list.
:p Ball was a good get BUT he was forced out of St Kilda not prized away by the lure of the Collingwood jugganaut
Jolly was a family go home factor (wife requested move back to Victoria) .....again opportunistic for Collingwood, they did not lure him away from Sydney

Collingwoods unpreparedness for win/win trades has meant very few quality trades ......you've mentioned 2 in 10 years

Ball* (2005), Jolly and Medhurst were All Australian players whist on Collingwood list.

Medhurst was a spud at Fremantle in his final season and was the steak knives when Freo sent pick #8 over for Tarrant, and the way Collingwood got Ball further deteriorated their standing amongst the other clubs when it comes to trades.

Only Jolly was an A grade target and acquisition.

Nathan Buckley was what 15+ years ago under a contract with the Bears that enabled him to go to any club of choice

The rest are certainly NOT big fish that Collingwood have chased over the years ....iam talking tier 1 players not minows
lol Ball, Jolly and Medhurst....minnows!!

Your taking the piss, right???

No way you'll get Parker ....and we seriously don't need him with Crouch coming on board

No need for more inside mids ....need outside speed as we got beaten often this year on the outside

Rohan would be perfect !!

Isnt Patty the fastest in the AFL. Well why not play him as the winman who links up now that he has the engine. Parkerand Danger can feed the ball to him and Rory Sloane & B martin who has to be given a decent go

These comments by Noble were a little odd??

“Having worked with Kurt, I know he has at times struggled with his ability to make decisions and work his way through certain situations. So, I have to take him on face value (that he only made his decision last weekend). There were some weeks where he’s been around and we’ve thought, ‘Yes, he’s definitely going to stay’ and then other weeks where you think, ‘crikey, he’s going to go’ and that’s being brutally honest.”

Makes Kurt sound a bit Rainman.

Isnt Patty the fastest in the AFL. Well why not play him as the wingman who links up down back and moves forward now that he has the engine. Parker and Crouch can feed the ball to Danger and Rory Sloane & B Martin who has to be given a decent go next year. Its about team balance . Crouch and Parker have better lateral movement in close than what Danger has thus why i'd be making danger more of an outside mid.

Nah, just sticking the boot in a little. Questioning his intelligence. Solid play.

FIGJAM had signed a contract with North Melbourne prior to leaving Port, he dishounered it to join Collingwood ( after much whispering into his ear by the pies management) when he left the Bears.

Not a man of his word, hmm does that remind you of anyone..............

I'm not gutted we are losing Tippett but I am gutted that yet another required player has treated us like a doormat. I think my wife put it best when she said not only is he disloyal, dishonest, greedy and apathetic but he is actually quite devious. We found out tonight that the AFC brought Joel over to play with Westies to keep Kurt happy. This being the case, you would think that before they did this Kurt would have given them some form of long term assurance that he was going to stay. They really are a family of low character are the Tippetts.

I also liked Leigh Matthews comment that if Sydney are using their player retension allowance (extra 15% salary cap) to poach players such as Tippett they should be stripped of this extra $$$.

Maybe thats why he kicked all those points......didnt have enough time to work out he needed to kick a goal...

There goes that threat. No way GWS would pass on him
Safe to say we wouldn't be getting any compensation for him going to them in the PSD either then. Guess my assumption that their 2011 PSD conditions also applied to 2012 was flawed. Odd that they can still take uncontracted players this year - and now there's nothing to prevent them luring additional uncontracted players via the PSD. Another case of the AFL screwing the pooch.

Isnt Patty the fastest in the AFL. Well why not play him as the wingman who links up down back and moves forward now that he has the engine. Parker and Crouch and Aiden Riley can feed the ball to Danger and Rory Sloane & B Martin who has to be given a decent go next year. Its about team balance . Crouch and Parker have better lateral movement in close than what Danger has thus why i'd be making danger more of an outside mid.

EFA

GC stating Gorringe and Day won't be included in any trade. Well **** you, send him to the PSD. Must make Kurt feel valued

What would happen if sydney are offering him $1 million but we can't get a deal done so we send him to the pre-season draft where he is taken by GWS who are only offering say $700k. Does he have to go to accept the GWS deal?

I can see us getting sweet FA so we may as well send him to the pre-season draft so he will be known as even more of a dog than he already is.
