When Jolly and Hall left in 2009 (alongside the removal of O'loughlin, Crouch, Barry, and Buchanan) it left a massive gap in the Swans cap and a lot of contracts were re-jogged and heavily front loaded in order to just get over 92.5 payment base. I'd assume some spare would come from that as those contracts would now be in low paying years, some would come from delistings and some would come from a player Sydney would most likely have to trade out.I know the Swans have some sort of allowance to their salary cap, but how on earth can they splash $1 million on a player a day after winning the flag!? That seems super dodgy to me.

All talk. They would be stupid to outline their demands to the media before trade week has even started.http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/149099/default.aspx
Day and Gorringe off-limits... apparently. Or just posturing?
This is just a horrible equation..Adelaide --> Tippett (GCS), McKernan (WB), Pick 20 (WB)
Adelaide <-- Pick 6 (WB, Toumpas, Plowman, other outside mid), 2nd Rounder (GCS)
Unless GC and Brisbane have decided they aren't going to throw mega bucks at him... Just because they want him home, doesn't mean they'll pay whatever he asks - obviously his Manager thought that was the case... Looks like it could've been a massive miscalculation by his Manager here.
I'm not exactly sure how Sydney's Cost of Living allowance works, but if it's not already, it should be spread out evenly across the entire list, and not able to be used in one heap to attract another star player.

Absolutely unacceptable tweet. They need to find that person and arrest them.
Edit: who care's if it's a line from a movie? It's a ****ing death threat.
Heath Grundy is 26 already (born 2 June 1986). Not a huge difference, but just get some facts straight.
I feel for you guys I really do , with the way his gone about it shows he lacks class and that can be poison .
Ah...yeah....like you said, not a huge difference.
If that's all you have to add to the debate then maybe its all been too much for you and best you have a lie down.
Jesus Christ mate, it's a joke - don't be a ******* wowser!
I wasn't having a dig at you. There's been plenty of people saying he's 25 (including Swans fans).
It's like the "clause" and Adelaide playing Melbourne twice in 2012.... it's reported incorrectly once, repeated verbatim, and then it becomes "fact".
What else can I add? Until it's actually trade week, it's all postulating.
How do you know it's a joke? who gives a **** if it was from a movie. The "joker" is from a movie too.
I wouldn't want that said to me on my twitter account and its completely stupid if it's a joke. He should be arrested.
Tippett alone is worth more than Pick #6 and GC's 2nd rounder, though it's probably close to what we'll end up receiving.
