The more I think about it, the more I see Blucher painting himself into a corner with the Sydney move. Whilst Kurt may be just as happy to go into the PSD and get grabbed by GC, he'll have to drop his price back to what GC were originally offering; which is a loss of about 400-500k a season.

Seeing Blucher would be getting a 10-20% cut off Kurt, that's a lot of money to be losing if the Sydney deal doesn't work out. He'd be praying Sydney come up with something really good to get the deal done :)

I think we are ALL confused by it. Blucher added that Kurt really liked the idea of being coached by Horse because he played in the same position and then added, he also liked the idea of having a taller coach seeing he hadn't had a coach over 5'9"! Sando is 6'1"! So I get it referred to short arse Craig, but what is sando? Chopped liver? Maybe Kurt didn't like sando? Or maybe, just maybe, blucher is a Moo.

I liked the fact that Sando hasn't used Tippett as the only go to man. Our forward line has been much better without the 'bomb it long to Tippett' game plan. Ego is a funny thing.

I just did some math and I'm not sure I have figured it correctly, so tell me if I'm wrong........

If we paid Tippett $800,000 for this season then it worked out to around $20,000 per goal!.....and even when he didn't score it cost us about $40,000 per game! I'm struggling with this!!!!!!!!!!!!

But he didn't receive $800,000 last season. Last year, I think he was on $580,000-$600,000

$800,000 was only the suggested figure for next year and beyond.

Can someone explain the meaning or context behind this? I mean the part about Kurt Tippett and Brenton Sanderson.

I don't get it
In one of belchers interviews he said tiprat wanted to play for a coach taller than 5'9". However Sando is 6'1" so doesn't make sense.

It remains one of the most ridiculous lines ever uttered... would've loved to hear him say that to someone like Lethal ;)

No way.

We need to give our remaining talls a chance. We tooo need to get young defenders into the mix. Rutten has two years left at most, but in this time our other guys will get stronger also with age and maturity
If we get Roughead for Tippett we are laughing all the way to the bank. We would do this in a heartbeat especially considering that Roughy can play forward, back and as a back up ruckman and he is only 25 (same age as the culture Kurt)

Would you give up our 2nd rounder to the Hawks too if thats what it took to get Roughy?

Im just thinking a deal could work like this:

Adel: Lose Tippett and 2nd/ 3rd rounder. Gain Roughead
Sydney: Lose a player to hawks. Gain Tip
Hawks: Lose Roughie, Gain a player from Sydney and a draft pick

The player would have to have some currency, what sort of needs would the Hawks have, that the Swans could get rid of.

I originally said a 3rd round pick but if Hawthorn wanted more, it's Sydney who should be the one to hand over that extra pick. Not us.

Where is this Roughead talk coming from? The only place I've seen it mentioned is on this board.

The paper is reporting Collingwood is trying to get pick four from Melbour for Dawes and Wellingham. The way this is looking Collingwood will come out better than us as always. We should be getting just as much thus Adelaide need to let this be known.
Like others I have a sneaking suspicion that Sydney know something about one of their players (Kennedy or Reid) that has driven them to chase this Tippett deal...how about

Dawes & Wellingham to Melbourne for pick 4
Sam Reid to Collingwood
Tippett to Sydney
Pick 4 to Adelaide

I'm not sure to be honest. I think it on the radio. Highly likely it's complete BS and will never even get close happening.

That Rohan article didn't feel me with any confidence he would be coming hear as part of any trade even if Sydney were prepared to let him go
