Give me a break. Your picking on me for quoting what I heard on SEN instead of what was on your web site.

This whole thread is just one giant bit of speculation with everyone stating hearsay and feelings as fact.
It's more back and forth captain obvious statements mixed in with some posts where a guy talks to someone who actually has some idea.
Then in between more people trying to explain what both sides already understand but think the other group doesn't with dabs of no-one really wants $kirt at their side from either club.
If you came here expecting non pointless speculation in this many pages, you paid this thread overs in credit.

Well you know, regardless of the validity of the claims we are rather attached to most of the team and when someone comes and say Mitchell or Reid will be traded (essential in most supporters eyes) we are going to get a bit uppity. It also doesn't help whenmium and information that's dead on is such a premium and essential unknown. So in other words it is seen as antagonistic even though it may not be.

Yeah, nothing like Swans supporters telling us to take their spuds and an average pick for Tippett, or lose him for nothing.

Bulldogs doing their fire sale with the coach giving a speech talking of a 6 year plan until they're in contention. Wonder if they would let Howard go when they need youth and picks.
I'd love to get Howard across (wanted him last year for Gunston), but bulldogs will be unwilling to get rid of him, because he's about the only player on their list that can kick.

Yes but when you are quoting hearsay, and someone else is telling you that's NOT what was said, and provides you with a link to what was actually said, you say "cheers, I'll have a listen". ;)

Or crows fans tell us to trade Kennedy, Jetta, etc. Hence why we all need to chill for at least a week

No, he's suggesting that you read an article which comes from the club that David Noble is employed by, rather than quoting SEN. How exactly is that picking on you? Are you 12?

Then don't come on here whining and abusing about your precious group when YOUR club comes in and poaches our highest paid player. Did you get that YOU poached HIM. Your clubs actions not ours.

F....ING hypocrites.

They can't handle the truth.

Oh nose, a player with sum potenshal mite be trades!

To be fair, if some Sydney supporter none of us knew came on and told us we were shopping around Brad Crouch we'd probably choose not to believe him too.

Reputations have to be earned. FAITH has earned his reputation here with a very good (though let's not go as far as to say impeccable) strike rate. On the Sydney forums he's just another poster.

As I said, they can't handle the truth. Guess what? Mitchell is probably being shopped around. Sticking your heads under the pillow and going la la la won't make it go away.

How good is Leroy!! :thumbsu:

it's amazing how Disrespectful the Sydney Fans are to FAITH on the Sydney Board.

Its a bit of fun.

I'm just amazed that they come onto our board saying they will pick Kurt up in the PSD or for crappy players, then when i tell them Mitchell is being shopped around they go mental :D

Brad Crouch is a long bow to draw. To a Swans supporter you can't mention anyone that has an inkling of potential in his left testicle.

Oh but but they don't want him remember!

What a lot of them fail to understand is their club is dead set keen on the liar!

Keep it respectful Super Sub. Last warning.
I know we like to be inclusive, but do we really need Sydney posters adding to this thread? I'd struggle to think of one decent post from a Sydney supporter, they talk shit and the next 10 posts are spent arguing about it. Can we just ban them and make this an Adelaide only thread please?

This is not a badly written piece either - from a Sydney fans' viewpoint:

http://thesidelineagenda.com/2012/10/09/are-sydney-making-the-right-call-on-trading-for-tippett/
"Suggestions have been made that key defender Heath Grundy was going to be put up on the trade table, since he is a South Australian and is key ingredient missing in the Crows line up."
"Another suggestion was the likes of Mark Seaby and Jesse White being traded off with a draft pick to get Tippett. That appears dead in the water now that Seaby has been delisted. White, who can be either deployed as a ruckman or as a key forward, has fallen down the pecking order as he has been injury prone and inconsistent during his time with the red and whites."

Key ingredient missing in the Crows lineup? He offers nothing Adelaide don't have.
Yep definitely a spud fire sale Sydney point of view. Anymore possible delists to offer up.
The writer believes that Sando could make a good and proper jacket potato out of Spud White.

This. I cant recall a single post from a swans poster that has added any value to this saga.

I am lost as to why the attack on Sydney. Was nothing learnt from our trading last year.

Sydney could have waited for the PSD and taken Armstrong as he was uncontracted. Instead we traded Lewis Johnston (who was contracted) to you for Armstrong and a pick in the 30's.

You all hooped and hollered about how much you one out of that deal. And that's fine, we got what we wanted out of it.

So why would we shaft you guys this time.I do not know if the swans are prepared to give up Mitchell or Parker (I hope not) but they are good at getting a deal done, and most times a fair one.
I don't think Armstrong was going to be delisted. Our fourth pick was at 64, don't think we wanted to use another, especially given we'd lost so many players already.

Regardless of that, I do believe Sydney will trade fairly but then just all about your supporters are we're going to be reamed.

Fair trading clubs don't bend over other clubs, so I'm bemused by many of the suggestions on here.

It's not every Sydney poster, but there's probably more nonsense being posted about this than there was the friggin Jacobs trade with Carlton! It's totally understandable that posters will be attached to their own team's players, but to there's a pretty widespread refusal to accept that Kurt, for all his flaws (and he does have many,) is a rare and valuable commodity in the modern game - particularly now the sub rule has come in. I have seen far more Swans posters who appear to rate him below literally every player in their first 22, and a few outside of it too, than those who seem to have any inkling of what he's actually worth. As inconsistant as he can be, Kurt's value isn't just in his individual performance, but what he can bring to a team structurally. Sydney (and Adelaide, and Brisbane, and Gold Coast, and probably others) aren't offering him a gigantic contract for nothing.

Luke Parker, as an example, is a cracking young player. But there's gotta be 20+ midfielders around his age who have shown as much, or more, than him in the competition. You'd be very happy to have him, but to carry on like you'd be getting screwed by trading him for Tippett is ridiculous. He's quality, but replaceable. Kurt is a far less replaceable type of player. I don't rate Tippett as highly as many, but to completely ignore a) his quite unique structural importance, and b) the fact that Sydney clearly rate him, is just madness.

Perhaps I'm overreacting, but I just spent some time reading the main board Tippett thread, and it's insufferable. Compare it to the Gold Coast folks we had joining in the debate a couple of weeks ago, who were generally very respectful and balanced in their discussion, and it's especially jarring. Plenty of nonsense from Crows fans too, mind you. Quit suggesting Jetta, knuckleheads.
