I believe it's all BS.

Some papers reporting White has met with Sando (not yet in country), others saing he's going to......

I genuinely dont know the history of Collingwood player movement. I see what you're saying, but if you think for a second that a deal involving Tippett to Sydney is the end of the line, you need to expand your horizons.

So you make a statement that no club could do better and then you say you have no clue as to what other clubs actually do.

In reality then your just posting sychophantic drivel and adding nothing to the debate.

And by the way you know nothing about me so I would suggest you keep your smart arsed comments to yourself.

He didn't. They drafted him.

They only drafted him because he said he would rather go to them over Richmond. Yes originally he wanted to go to Richmond until he came over and had a meeting with Port and got shown around the club. He then decided Port was the place for him. He loved the tradition, family atmosphere etc. Plus i'm pretty sure Port offered him more money.
In the end though he was only picked up by port because he decided he wanted to go there. Not because it was done against his will.

Its the lowest pick they HAVE. It's not like they can pluck a lower one out of their arse!

So if someone walks into a store with a $10 note and wants to buy a $20 item the store should just sell that item for $10 because that's all they have ?

Sydney can trade for a higher pick. Hawthorn didnt just pull a second first round draft pick out of their ass for Burgoyne. Clubs can come up with fair trades if they feel they need to, but our club is creating a culture where we'll just happily accept whatever deal is on the table thereby taking away the requirement of the second club to have to come up with a fair trade.

The club is perpetuating the problem by continually accepting substandard trades which creates a perception that our club an easy target for other clubs looking to poach players.

If this was a once off I could accept it that we are going to lose out and move on, but we accepted unders for Hudson, Gunston and once again we look set to do it with Tippett. If you look at the club's history of continually sending players to their chosen club without being adequately compensated, the club is simply just making a rod for it's own back.

So the story is Jessie White is flying to Adel today to meet coach Sando

Hasn't Jessie White been in Adelaide over the past fortnight with his Adel born GF?

Could it possibly be Chinese whispers?

Then the Adelaide Football Club should be getting on the front foot and using social media to defuse this rumour.

Twitter, Facebook and a press release saying Jessie White is not coming to Adelaide for a medical.

That article has been on the Adelaide Now website since midnight last night - it's not 10:40. It's either happening or the Crows don't wish to defuse any rumours. It would only take 5 minutes to post something denying it.

Brahhhh Brahhhhh

Guess I was spot on.

No you ****ing weren't. Im pissed off because you go off - as per normal - half cocked and uninformed. My opinions of Roo are formed by things I've seen him do - both here and in Adelaide to supporters, as well as things he wouldn't do at the Club and demands he made. My opinions of JR are more to do with my dealings with him, yes, but nothing to do with ass kissing. Everything to do with respect. The man was rude and incompetent and I have no time for him whatsoever.

Why was he just picked up by David Noble from the airport then? According to Shutts.
Faith said several times he will definitely not be going to the Crows

The obvious solution, whether on a purely bluffing manner or otherwise, is to get in discussions with GWS, suss out how keen they are, and if they'll take him in the PSD. At the VERY least, it scares the Swans and Tippett.

Should they genuinely be keen, and closing in on the deadline (Wednesday odd) Tippett is still being a knob end, then we discuss letting him through to the PSD with GWS and say "look, we don't really want pick 22 and rubbish, he's playing hard ball and won't come to you guys willingly, what's it worth to you chaps to let him slide to the PSD?"

GWS then say look, he basically just wants to live in QLD or NSW on big coin and only prefers Sydney because they're sucessful, he'll get over it soon and will be great cover for young Patto and Cameron and provide perfect ruck relief for Giles."

OK, hows about we give you pick 12 and 13, you give us 19 and Tambling on the condition you pay out Tamblings contract"

Easy peezy, we've got plenty of room in the cap.

Can you imagine the poo'd pants of Tippett, Blutcher and Sydney reps is a deal between us and GWS mainly involving picks went down.......would fap

Exactly. We just needed to bluff the psd. Would never have got to that point

I actually dont post much and normally just read what people have to say but seriously this board is becoming embarrassing carrying on like little school kids emailing the club because the crows arent getting the deal you want. Its now not about the player but trying to salvage something from a bad situation so the club can move forward.

FACT: Tippett is leaving the club to Sydney
FACT: They have shit all to offer
FACT: Tippett is a knob

Now its time to leave the clubs employees whom are much more experienced than all the negative supporters on this board to get the best possible outcome for the club. Dont forget we still have another 40 blokes on our list to move the club forward and one player will never be bigger than a club.

Its time to stop complaining and have faith in the club you support!!
The bolded bit is wrong - and badly wrong at that. If you had said "they have shit all that they are prepared to offer" then I would agree with you. They have little in the way of uncontracted players and draft picks, that much is true. However, they have a number of contracted players who could (should they choose to do so) be used to even up the trade. Players like Reid, Rohan, Parker and Mitchell would all attract picks which could then be on-traded to Adelaide, or the players themselves could be traded to Adelaide (if they agreed). Sydney have, to date, refused to trade any of these players.

It's wrong to say that they have nothing to offer - they do, they just refuse to put their trade-worthy assets on the table.

Probably not. Would probably end up at GWS, or failing that, Carlton. Both have the desire and the room to fit him under their salary cap.

Vader, I have asked a few questions of you so as to better understand the trade conditions. So I again want to clarify this point. If Tippett goes to the PSD and he nominates a higher wage (to try and deter other clubs from taking him) doesnt that mean that this higher salary that Tippett nominates is what Sydney would have to pay if they get a chance to select him. If this is so then given Sydneys inability to pay the big bucks for the first two years surely by Tippett putting his asking price up actually stops Sydney from picking him.

So you make a statement that no club could do better and then you say you have no clue as to what other clubs actually do.

In reality then your just posting sychophantic drivel and adding nothing to the debate.

Calm down.

Can't wait till this and the backlash is over so our supporters can stop making us look like whiny school girls.

Jenny and co, stop with the pathetic squabbling. It's embarrassing, even in the midst of an already pretty embarrassing thread.

Then the Adelaide Football Club should be getting on the front foot and using social media to defuse this rumour.

Haven't we learned by now that a lack of denial from the Crows is not an admission of accuracy? If the Crows had to use social media to quash every ridiculous rumour that arose they'd need to hire on extra staff members just to keep up.

Anyway, to those who are saying that getting pick 22 is alright because "anyone would have been at a disadvantage in this trade", I think we all recognised we weren't going to get proper value for Tippett. The problem is that pick 22 is so far below his trade value that it actually becomes unacceptable.

It's one thing to just accept pick 12 or something. That's a mile below Kurt's value, but it's still reasonable given that he and Sydney hold the cards. Pick 22 is just an insult.
