And isn't he enjoying doing it the rsole!!

ADELAIDE is at risk of becoming the first AFL club to be stripped of premiership points as punishment for its Kurt Tippett scandal.

.
The double crime of draft tampering and salary cap rorting with Tippett's side deal at West Lakes has exposed Adelaide to being the first club hit with the AFL's beefed-up Rule 17.

This nine-page, 24-clause rule was rewritten in 2003 after Carlton was stung with fines of almost $1 million and stripped of draft picks for two years - and the AFL questioned if its arsenal of penalties was strong enough. South Australian Wayne Jackson was AFL chief executive at the time.

"Our view at the AFL Commission was stripping premiership points was the single greatest penalty we could apply against a club," Jackson told The Advertiser yesterday.

"We felt fines washed over some clubs because they could cope with a financial penalty.

"But every club is super sensitive to losing premiership points. Stripping points has a greater impact on decisions being made at football clubs."

The AFL investigation into the extent of Adelaide's illegal payments to Tippett - by underwriting his third-party deals since 2009 - continued yesterday with auditors still working through the Crows books.

This will continue today. But as the figure is more than $100,000, the Crows are at risk of:

A FINE that is double the salary cap breach.

A BAN from all or part of the next three drafts.

LOSS of premiership points.

hold tough crows ! realy feel for you boys ! gee thought we got rodgered by clarke last year but tippett has set a new level ( disgraceful )

if it helps i cannot see how this nit will get his way and find a home at the swans , gws , gold coast and us will have him way before them ! small consolation i know but i have found the crap coming from swan supporters on your forum to be something to be ashamed off !

cheers from the lions
p.s should find out who blocked his trade to us last year and kick him !!
With the benefit of hindsight, I'd suggest it looks highly likely that Tippett refused to be traded to Brisbane.

Now that GWS have flagged their intentions to take him, watch the AFL make $kurt enter the draft like a new draftee, no price on his head.

Vlad would LOVE it.

Yep, dream outcome for Vlad, it WILL happen (if I understand anything about how the Master Manipulator works). He will see it as a WIN-WIN. Tippett doesn't get to play the system and AFL give GWS another leg up.

Does anyone else get the feeling that a pathetically desperate Rucci article and the golden silence from The Age tonight work in our favour?

I.e.
Rucci writes a nothing article about nothing because there's nothing happening
The Age write nothing because nothing is happening

OH DEAR LORD RUCCI. SENSATIONALIST MUCH?

This article reminds me of the American newsreader during the Hawaii tsunami footage yesterday talking up an absolute catastrophe and I think the total damage bill was $2.50 when someones sunblock floated out to sea.

Rootch, no actual news to break (as usual) so starts with the sensationalist wording of calling it a 'double crime' and then 'has exposed Adelaide'......which is a bullsh1t qualifying phrase but allows him to flagellate himself with a list of all the worst drastic punishments we could get if we are found guilty.

And for Rootch and some of my fellow posters, there is no 'crime' in any of this. A crime is breaking the law of the land. Here we are just talking about possible breaches of the AFL's own rules.

The worrying thing is the AFL writes the rules, interprets them, and acts as the judge on the application of its own rules...... and if Vlad is not happy just makes up a new one on the spot.

Yep Rooch is right.

They are going to strip you of your premiership points.

Next season you will be starting with zero points.

I'm hoping they'll strip us of premiership points from the 2012 season.

Should be enough to net us the #1 draft pick and a nice cushy draw next year :thumbsu:
