Has anyone actually seen Tom Williams play? I heard Lethal on the radio today and he was asked about Williams. He said that he had watched him three times and while he looked great running around the ground, he hasn't seen him get hold of the footy yet. I'm not sure if he was taking the pi$$ but he did sound a little amazed that some people had him so high in their draft order.

If Van Berlo isn't in the best 32 then I know absolutely nothing about the game. Save yourself some embarrassment and amend it to include him in the first round. There is no way your mob will take Swallow at 29! pieman is right on the money.

i actually had Van Berlo at the next pick and McMahon the one following that. i agree van berlo could go earlier but im not sure clubs think his footy smarts match his great athletic ability.

im sure ive got alot of players wrong, its more for interests sake.

I've seen him 4 times and I'd agree with that. He maybe gets 10-12 touches on the wing. Also his kicking is quite poor.

Against that watching him run, seeing him sprint away from opponents, his leap, the amount of ground he can cover .... that is the stuff that has gotten people excited. At 196cm athelticism like that is super-rare.

He is probably a little like Jarred Brennan but doesn't have the footy skills or smarts yet. But with only 12 months of footy experience behind him people are maybe getting a bit over-hyped on the upside / potential of the guy.

Really one of those zero/hero selections.

williams would be a huge gamble at 6. realistically u would say it was touch and go if he will ever be good enough as monfries or wood - both almost certain afl footballers.

totally agree. a player that hasn't played footy for a while is always a huge risk
