You working for SwimSwam. I actually changed the wording from prediction to expectation. Our women have been exceptional.. our men disappointing as per usual.. aside from a small few. Zac Stubblety-Cook for one. He exceeded expectations. First Aussie to win the Olympic 200 breast gold in some 50 years I was reading.
Nope, but been reading their stuff during the Oz, USA, Canadian and French trials in June and since.

If your child competed at the Olympic level and was favourite for an event and just missed out on winning a medal or gold because they didn't quite race their best, would you call them a choker or tell them that they choked? Because that's what I think about the tag. When you know how hard someone has worked for years, would you call them a choker?
to their face no. But whether it hurts or not it doesn’t change the fact that choking exists.

i don’t like the fact cancer exists. But it does. I don’t deny it’s existence. Do you?

Why not? You’d lie to them?

Wouldn’t you want to tell them they choked, and to develop some mental toughness?

From a neutral perspective comparing to Rio. Oleksiak went 0.11 quicker than her winning time from Rio to finish 4th.

Weitzel went 0.07 quicker to go from 7th at Rio at 8th today :openmouth:
something I overlooked was Sarah Sjostrom doing a 52:99 for bronze in Rio, then going 0.31 quicker (52:68) just to get 5th! :openmouth:
