What the hell happened there? No jump off. They agreed to share the gold medal.
Last Olympics Penny Oleksiak and Simone Manuel dead heated in the 100m freestyle and shared Gold.I want a jump off, how can you even share a medal?
All entrants should agree to share gold at the beginning of the nightWhat the hell happened there?
Official: “Ok, so you both have the same missed attempts and you’re level. So we need a jump off to find the winner.”
Basham: “Do we have to? Cant we share it?”
Official: “Yep”
Competitors: “We agree to share it”
Why even bother having the option of the jump off? Like either competitor is going to risk losing when they have a sure thing. Stupidity.
Or just have a jump off to decide the best of the best. All entrants should agree to share gold at the beginning of the night
