does anyone know how his preseason training is going? has he got bigger? the reason im asking is coz we really need him to stand up if hawkins and mooney goes down especially if they both get injured. it be ridicilous to play him as a third tall in the backline coz we don't need anthoer tall backmen we need anther third ir second marking forward. now you can all say ottens can play ff but whose going to ruck just blake and the inexpreince blake. if we want to win a flag we need 3 talls because hawkins and mooney can't do it alone and brad ottens is to injury prone. this is the one area im really worried about and tom lornegan needs to stand up or maybe even a harry taylor is worth ago. i reckon for the first round of the nab cup we shouldn't play mooney or ottens and just play lornegan chf and hawkins ff. thoughts?

When I went to training, Tom was playing in the match drill as a forward. He was struggling a bit with knowing when and where to lead and Mooney went over to him a few times to give him some advice.

<--<-- The Caps Lock key is that way
Why would you want it in caps for? But ok..

....:p

But yes, the SHIFT key is there to be used!!!

Loners should go alright this year, I reckon. He works hard for what he has got, plays with some heart to continue playing! Hope he does well this year, he should stand up when he has to now and again.. But I'm not expecting a great deal from him. Hawkins is the more likely one to step up though, I'd say..

With Eagan likely to miss much of the season I would be happy to see Lonergan groomed for KP defense this year. I think he is capable and we know he will not lack courage dropping in the holes and helping his mates out. Always struck me as a pretty smart player too which helps in defense.

If Eagan is to miss, Lonergan will play. He will be a great substitute.
