He can only play as an extractor, is he playing ahead of 2x Ashcrofts, Mcluggage, Neale, Bailey, Dunkley and Rayner?

Loved Tom Mitchell when he was at the Hawks but he's one dimensional so wasn't shattered when we moved him on years ago, he's not going into a premier midfield.

Doubt very much that you get hung because the overwhelming sentiment is that Charlie has played conditional football of late and if he wants to go then bye bye. However because he signed a long term contract and pledged hus future to the club (and may have been rewarded by a front ended contract) then he only goes if it's an immediate win for the Blues. This means players that help fill gaps on our list immediately or help us get Cody Walker next year.

On Tom Mitchell though it's a big no. We got rid of Matt Kennedy last year because we were too slow. Cooper Lord looks as though he will be very good so we have plenty if bulls. We need first receivers with pace and good disposal (hopefully Jagga Smith and Cody Walker will help there)

His inability to “Teach the kids” is the exact reason we moved him on.

I'm surprised Collingwood stopped playing him before finals. He had some good games, and then dropped after the Hawks loss in rd 22, never to be seen again. I would have liked a player like him in the middle in the Brisbane final we lost. He's a finals experienced player.. shocked we played Roan Steele before Tom Mitchell.

I think he would be a decent pick up for a team like North or Saints. Get him for nothing and get the experience he gives.

He'd be good for a team with a young midfield that needs someone to do some grunt work against the stronger teams for 5 to 10 games and do some on field coaching in the VFL. He is way too slow now though for a contender.

Is extremely one-dimensional and at 32yo, think his time is up.

Incredible career however. 200 games, premiership, Brownlow, MVP, 2x AA and 3x B&F. There’s not a teenager on earth who wouldn’t tear your arm off for a career like that. Well done.

And for a player who played at three clubs, it’s pretty rare to have two really good moves. Usually it means you’ve been cast off to the scrapheap. Mitchell’s first move saw him fulfil his potential and become one of the league’s best mids, and his second move was perfectly placed and saw him win a flag. He’s nailed it.

I think he would be a decent pick up for a team like North or Saints.

He isn’t really an upgrade on Will Phillips, who is still OOC.
