Swift was all the rage before his knee injuries. Many had him ahead of Rich. The draft camp has shown that he has recovered from those (at least on paper). Quick in the sprints and good in the endurance events with great football talent is a compelling combination.

Thoughts?

I rekon if we can get sidebottom at 8 we cant go wrong showed he can kick goals and has a huge tank as shown in his beep test results.

i think we should get a kid called Ash Smith with our 3rd pick shown show good results at the camp and looked good at the Tac Cup Grand Final good long kick and really quck:thumbsu:

I can see WC taking Swift with their priority pick and then Yarran with their second rounder to go with Natanui with pick 2. Sheesh they will be a force again.

no point wasting a first round pick on him when there is every chance he will be there at the second

Maybe there was a chance he'd slip[ to our second pick before the draft camp.

Not now. He's going to be a bolter.

Did you have any doubt?

Agree.

i dont think he will go top 8. unless something happend, or a club was willing to take a gamble on him that high. i would not go for him at 8. if hartlett is there take him.

All 3 have dynamic ability & X factor that we lack very much in our current squad. However, realistically i can only see us getting Nat. Swift and Yarran should be first round picks. I will be praying that they slide though :thumbsu:

Swift is a bit of a risk but then again could be the next Selwood. It will take a brave recruiter. Good luck to the kid. Considering his reputation i highly doubt he will last ot our second round pick.

hawthorn learnt a lesson when they went trawling the trauma wards for recruits in Beau Muston and Beau Dowler, both have failed miserably...Id take that on board

Maybe we should wait until the knee MRIs have been closely scrutinized by the club medical staff before we lump him in with those guys. As Richo has shown, a good knee recon can last for years.
