I know im going to get cained for this but here goes.

Would love to know a current injury update.
The update is he is injured .... Biscuits Williams every time the pack is open something is broken. As they have invested too much in him the are comitted for th enext 3 years. They need to sign him to a 3 year deal and trade him for draft picks when GC17 come in the 2009 draft.

In other threads ppl have asked why we are looking for key defenders in trade week...eg, O'halpin and Hansen

I think Lake is a possibility to be developed into a FF.

Williams def not a CHF... He'll be a good CHB when up and running but wont make it as a forward.

I think to be a key forward, you have to demand the ball, lead hard and have strong hands. Lake could potentially do this well... The question would be on timing his leads, knowing were to run and creating space... the rest he would be fine with... we know he can take a grab and has a decent kick.

If we got a player like O'halpin it would give us depth to try this. Use him at FB , Williams at CHB and Lake at FF... Still leaves a gap at CHF, which could explain the interest in Hansen.

People have said Hansen is too similar to Murphey in playing style, maybe true, but Hanson is 198cm, 95kgs....Therefore can hold his space better, as well as having a better reach to take grabs...

I would be happy if we recruited Hansen, espeshially considering Ray is a potential sway... A change of culbs for both of them could be what they need.

O'halpin is an interesting one,,, i havnt seen much of him play, but from what i have he didnt seem too bad... not the best player but seems to have the right build to play a key defensive role.

I think Ohailpin is a decent defender, definately seems to have the intensity required, blues fans seem to like him.

I don't think Lake would be any good as a FF, doesn't seem to have the mindset and when he plays up there he looks a bit lost, fine for a pinch hit though.

I think people are underrating Tom Williams' football intelligence. Haven't seen him played forward but I would like to. The guy could play on the Ball he's that athletic.

Williams has proven his spot at CHB so let him run unless in need to put him up forward i say we just leave him as it is and look for a CHF or make one off our list
Proven himself, when? He has had a few good minutes when he was not injured. He plays a quarter then is injured for 6 games comes back and plays a half and is out for 12.
I honestly couldn't vote in this poll until I see him play more than 10 minutes of footy.
Surely 2009 is his make or break year, they couldn't keep putting up with his injury problems.
If you bought a mercedes and it runs like a dream for a week and then breaks down and continually happens you wouldn't keep it. It isn't financially feasible, well the first year or two it will be under warranty but you get my point. The clubs input has far outweighed Toms output. Hopefully he can play at least 18 games this year and a true call can be made on him.

Williams will grow into his body for at least another 12 - 18 months. When right, he will give us 8 years at CHB the same as Chris Mew did for Hawthorn. Then you base flags around him.

The reason we keep chasing leading forwards is because that is our style of play suits it. We need to stop re-inventing the wheel. Ashley Hansen would be a good pick up for this reason as would Corey Jones. Leave Murph and Aker to lead up and play Mitch deep with Welsh.

Good teams rely on their systems working over a couple of seasons. We should not try to be something we are not and perfecting what we are
