Bombers are irrelevant. We need to take Freo or Sydney's place. Sydney are the better side but have a pretty tough final month. I'll reluctantly be barracking for Carlton tonight because it helps keep North out of that 8th spot.

Carlton win and we're still a top four chance if we keep winning.

Here is the equation as I see it - please correct me if I am wrong:

Hawthorn 15w 3L
Geelong 14w 4L
Sydney 13w 3L 1D (yet to play this round)
Essendope 13w 4L (yet to play this round - likely to lose all points)
Fremantle 12w 4L 1D (yet to play this round)
Richmond 12w 6L (yay!)

Lets say for argument's sake we win all of our remaining games (quite feasible we have lions, bombers and blues all at the G and GWS at Skoda) and end up 16w and 6 L. Lets also assume the dons are rubbed out for bringing the game into disrepute.

we would need either hawthorn to lose all their games (not going to happen), Geelong to lose 3 of their remaining 4 games (not going to happen) as both have a far superior percentage to us.
Or the more feasible options are for Sydney to lose three games out of five (possible as they have a tough draw - but we saw last week they are a mighty fine footy side so I don't think it will happen) or Freo will need to lose two out of five (soft draw, can not see it happening but probably the most likely especially if they lose to Carlton tonight).

The long and short of it - Go blues.

Sydney need to drop 3/5 - would have to lose to Collingwood, Geelong and Hawthorn.
Essendon need to drop 2/5 which should happen.. or they lose points.
Freo's need to drop 2/5 but draw is ridiculous.... Carlton, GWS, Melbourne, Port (at Subi), St Kilda. Fair chance they won't drop 2 of those.

I think our best result will be if we finish in a position to play Port at the MCG., however I'd love to finish 4th and play Hawthorn again

David King picked us to finish 5th at the start of the year. He was laughed at by the Fox panel including Mark McClure...He may have the last laugh & prove to be a genius!....Geez I want to rip the Blues are new one in a couple of weeks to shut McClure & the rest of the Blue Scum up!..I am tipping Jack is setting himself for a huge game to shove it up McClure to!

Probably 5th is our aim now. Hope we belt the bombers in round 23. We'll be confident of playing them or port in a final at least. We can beat the pies too. When we're hungry I think we will put all 3 away

It wasn't that long ago that McClure said he couldn't see any improvement by us from last year.

I'm still pissed off at being robbed of 4 points against Freo at Subi.

We'd be on 52 points and Freo would be on 50. Being talked up by Finey and Shaw right now on SEN as premiership contenders

Freo are probably going to win every game until finals. I can't see how we can overtake them. ****ing cheat umpire in WA cost us a place in the top 4.

I would not mind playing Hawthorn if we somehow finish 4th and they on top. We match up well against them. Playing Sydney in Melbourne would not be impossible but Sydney in Sydney would be a huge ask. Likewise Geelong (and Collingwood) match up well against us and I would not be confident against either (though Collingwood seem to have problems - Buckley?). Freo in Melbourne would be one we should win.
