Any that understand football knows he had a solid finals series, didn't become the selfish player trying to break 5 tackles per time and looked to handball or kick it to set team mates up. draw in the defender then bang handball it off.Not sure where I should post this, so I'll just do it here.
Spoke to a family friend on the Stringer's last night. The club were extremely happy with his finals series, he did everything the coaches asked of him knowing he was very limited. His shoulder was a lot worse than what most (including myself) realised. I reckon it might even effect his start to next year.
Not really news, but maybe people can get off his case for a while now.
Also, just from what I've heard this "he'll leave eventually for big money because he has a young family" this is complete bullcrap. He isn't playing for peanuts and the club looked after him VERY well in his initial years when he had done sweet FA.
He's currently looking at trading in Pearce Hanley, who seems to have a great attitude on a losing team. He does have the minimal toughness, outside runner profile that Clayton seems to love aswell.I'm really intrigued to see how Scott Clayton screws Gold Coast over this trade period.
Suspected the injury was fairly bad but it's a bit strange that following the grand final comes all these stories about players playing through injuries heroically. There wasn't even a whisper regarding Stringer's shoulder. I was quite pleased with his effort in the finals and what he provided to the team. Not sure where I should post this, so I'll just do it here.

Sounds like a few players with delayed starts next year... Toyd, Wood, Stringer. Not sure how we'll cope early, having to rely on those fringe players Crameri, Murphy and Cloke instead...!
Great to see all my suspicions confirmed. Thanks Pog.Not sure where I should post this, so I'll just do it here.

Yes good to hear and given how close he is to his teamates like JJ I would think he is quite happy with his lot at the dogs! Not sure where I should post this, so I'll just do it here.

He hasn't been with us 8 years, not a free agent
I wonder if Bev is into Jordan Lewis' ear? Apparently not happy...

Rhys Palmer? He ain't that bad.was stevens ever tried as a flanker (either forward or back)? i watched a couple of his games and he doesnt seem to really get beaten in 1on1's for someone of his size so was wondering if you campaignersp) thought he would excel more as a wellingham esq player or a rhys palmer type player
You don't watch the game enoughWhy do I keep reading that Koby Stevens is slow? He'd be amongst our quickest inside/outside mids.
I hope not. He's cost too much and even though he's a good player I've always thought he was a level below the others who played in the four flags. His 2014 was elite, other than that I think he's just hasn't put together a whole season at the elite level.I wonder if Bev is into Jordan Lewis' ear? Apparently not happy...

That values Hrovat and the Hamling/Stevens pick at 478 combined, or pick 37 roughly. Pretty on the money I reckon.Keep looking at Norf's clean out and they seem a few decent picks shy of what they need. They have no 3rd rd pick this year for example.
We could look at trading some of our later picks and/or Hrovat to boost our draft position.
Something like P18, Hamling/Stevens pick, 2nd rd pick and Hrovat
They give us P11 and Wells comp.
Is that reasonable? Points nerds??
Good for you.meet my ignore list
