If we could get their start of second round pick this year or future second I'd do itSuns have set a 1st rounder price on Martin. Blues preference is Papley first.
If deal can't be done, wonder if Martin reconsiders his destination?
If so, would we go with 13?

I wonder if its worth sacrificing the first half of the season, using that as time for a proper preseason at the club then bring him into the selection mix after the bye. He will be fit and firing for finals and he'll have had 10 games or so to find his spot in the back six on field.Really s**t news about Keath.
Won’t start running until Feb next year which means virtually no preseason which means he’s likely to have an ordinary season. For as long as I can remember every player talks about interrupted preseasons leading to down years. Keath will be 28, we got him in for immediate results and we are not going to get it next year. Really, really bad news and I don’t blame the Dogs for downgrading his draft value accordingly.

Yep, that's the one! Well hopefully he is going okay outside the bigfooty bubble.footscray1973 - hasn’t been on here for a week or so, very pedantic chap. He’s got bigger fish to fry than BF atm, but will be back. (Some people on here know each other in ‘real life land!)
Yeah, why not. The list we have should be top six as a pass mark next year, pending any unforeseen stuff.Lid off?
Overall are people happy with us going out of this draft with the expected keath bruce and pick 13?
Its a nice little haul that temporarily plugs gaps and gives us time to have a tilt further up the ladder, but 3 months ago it was all the rage to talk about outside speed on a wing and a small forward, and these areas dont seem to be plugged unless pick 13 goes to one of those. how are we generally feeling if the news stays quiet from the kennel?
Most of us thought that the most pressing needs were a best 22 kpf and a best 22 kpd, ideally 26-28 for list balance and preferably not super expensive.Overall are people happy with us going out of this draft with the expected keath bruce and pick 13?

I like this jack martin talk but i cant remember there ever being a player to change his mind on his selected club mid trade period.
It aint happeningDaniher is going for 2 first round draft picks and he has groins like uncooked spaghetti. Missing half a preseason doesn’t dilute his trade by two rounds [emoji23]
I cant imagine the amount of times players get traded and then have surgery in the offseason
P13 for Keath and P28 is still a fair trade, and it’ll get done imo. Most Crows supporters don’t want to part with him, so he either comes back to us, or send him to the Rookie draft!

They get excited easily!I really don’t see how the Saints fans were getting so excited about this interview. I heard it and thought it was pretty weak.
Crows medical team couldn't concentrate with the Tigers theme song blaring in the background!Keath cheaper, who will be match fit for finals?
Silver linings people. IF we get him for a third rounder we should be doing cartwheels, then trade a third and our second to upgrade to a higher second for Bruce.
Interesting the article said both St Kilda and Bulldogs medical teams suggested surgery, making the Crows the outlier. Getting it done now means the Crows pay for it too.
Remember the glorious 1st half of the final against the Cats we were ahead and Danny kicked 6 or so. Went downhill after halftime but wasnt Dannys fault. His name is Danny Del-Re, kicked 70 Goals in 1992, champion of the hyphen.
The Crows should have got him to treat Keath!
Love the avatar my manThere's a lot of things to like about the way Sam Power has approached our list management:
- As a club, we no longer leak information like a sieve during trade week.
- We have all our required players signed up before trade week started and in many cases well before trade week started.
- We appear to be holding the better negotiating hand in each of the potential deals where players have nominated us.
