Towards the end of the season he looked like he couldn’t run. I’d rather develop Greene at this point.

Every club would have players unsigned heading right now. It's more likely that working out a deal that fits into the parameters of the salary cap woth banking, loading, incentives, triggers and everything that makes it both an art and a science is the time consuming thing as opposed to negotiations with player and coach

Even in hindsight I’d have kept Crameri over Honeychurch.

Said this before, but given we missed out on Wingard we take Menzel. Have said this since 2017 but our list severely lacks natural forwards.

He's free, comes at the cost of Honeychurch. That's a double positive

We could probably rookie list Menzel anyway if we wanted him, if we did get him (which I'm cagey about) I certainly wouldn't want to give him more than one year.

Correct, same draft as Dickson. Both were (allegedly) on Essendon's radar but we jumped in before them, likely due to Shannon Grant moving over from Bendigo VFL coach to us and bringing with him some intel. Another Bendigo VFL player picked up in that same 2011 draft was Shane Biggs.

If Campbell is given the chop, I can definitely see Essendon having another look - they're very light on for backup rucks now.
