Nothing stopping him playing for quite some time still .. Morris was 36 .. yes yes no-one is the same as Morris but there's no reason

We overrate draft picks though. We have a very good hand next year where we will probably grab 3 first rounders plus a few others before having the West twins and others in 2021
I do think Bruce is worth getting and probably for something around that 26 pick. No need to hit the draft with heavily again this year but if we get more than 4 good years out of Bruce I reckon it'll be a real bonus.

Said it on the Keath thread but I'll be staggered if we dont do a pick swap somewhere along the line with you guys.

We have the picks eachother wants

Out: 12,42, 46

In: 20 (from Langdon trade), 25, future 2nd.

12 should just get us ahead of any Henry bid given academdy/FS are normally bid on later than their rankings and we'll squeeze the rest of the points we'll need for a bid from St Kilda in the Hill trade.

Shall I formalise the paperwork?
I'd personally stroke you off under the table to get that deal done. Pays for Bruce, Keath AND moves points to next year for bid matching. And leaves us with a 2nd and 3rd rounder this year.

Mods, surely this guy has broken the rules, reasonable trade hypotheticals are not allowed on here

The small forward we are into reportedly comes from St Kilda fwiw. Make of that what you will.
100% gotta be Long. Played in our VFL premiership side, and is indigenous. Fits the description of what we'd be looking at.

Still would rather Lonie, but would be happy to take Long considering he'd surely come dirt cheap

May well be. Didn’t get a name but pretty sure it will be Long. Might be steak knives with Bruce.

And I thought there was competition for spots this year.... 😳

FB: Keith Trengrove Crozier
HB: Johannisen Cordy Wood

C: Hunter Libertore Macrae

HF: Dale Schache Lloyd
FF: Naughton Bruce Dickson

Fill: English Bontempelli Dunkley

Int: Suckling McLean Duryea Daniel

Emerg: Williams Richards Lipinski B.Smith

Schaches greatest strength is his motor. If his opponent is running off him the opposition will get burnt on the turnover. I'd play him with Bruce and Naughton. He generally kicks his 2 goals a game and is pretty accurate which is extremely valuable in our team. It's worth a shot IMO.
Yep he’s just turned 22 last month. He’s got years of development and size to come...jeez it’s like people think a just turned 22 year old is a ready made KPF. Only the super elite (i.e Buddy) are elite KPF at that age. He’s coming along nicely, showed more aggression late this season and with another couple of pre seasons will be a bigger stronger unit. Show faith!!!!

Mate, any elite KPF had shown a lot more than Schache has at the same age.

It's probably Jack Lonie.

Word is Beveridge was so dazzled by his performance against us this year, that after the final siren, he drove straight back to the Whitten Oval, marched right into Barkers Cafe, ordered a Chorizo Eggs Benny with a small Chai Latte, ate it, then stormed right into Sam Power's office and strongly, but firmly exclaimed "Jack Lonie. Just get him here."

Stew Crameri is a reasonable starting point to try and value a Bruce trade.

He cost pick 16. He was 2 years younger than Bruce, but obviously a medium forward, not a key position player.

Their goal kicking stats are very similar.

So around that early/mid 20s mark is about right for Bruce.

30 seems bang on for Keath.

I love the idea of throwing our 3rd rounders together to try and get that freo pick 24.

Still guessing we’ll have to split pick 12, but confident we’ll land both boys and still have a pick inside 25.

Got any good goss for us Fronk? Seems like we are targeting at least one other target.

If we are content to give up pick 12 then this would be near perfect to trade for Bruce and Keath and still have strong picks.

Regarding Keath, I decided to peruse the Adelaide board and my goodness that place is in meltdown - not good for ones mental health....

Richmond look like they'll give Marion Pickett his debut this weekend.

They pulled Kamdyn McIntosh from last week's VFL grand final so he'd be set to play this week, and now looks like he'll miss this one too. I'd be filthy if I were him. Wouldn't mind trying to get into his ear as another one of those relatively cheap left-field options. Plays on a wing and some half back. Elite endurance and very good kick. Would be a far better option than Hayes on the wing opposite to Hunter, and would cost very little in a trade
Kmac was pulled from the vfl team to be cover for Nathan broad who got knocked out he’s passed his concussion tests so kmac was never playing after that.

The one who would be pissed is first year player jack ross he was cover for graham but the coaches feel that Pickett is a big game player and Ross hasn’t been the same since coming back from his ankle surgery

Kmac signed a new 3 year deal earlier this year but the coaches have changed his position from a winger to down back and josh caddy has taken his place in the ones. There are whispers that he could be gettable but he was never playing grand final day
