Take it with a grain of salt but we’ve enquired about Sam Reid from the swans. Makes sense if Daniher goes there / back up if Bruce doesn’t work out.

Put trading picks on hold for a minute! And taking our bulldog hat off. What would you say Bruce is worth if he went in the national draft as is and at his age...?

What about the guy who played for Footscray last year? Not an illustrious career but bonus points for being a BulldogNot even close H.O.D, you need to do a best twenty two including Bruce and Keath then consider from another
team's point of view who may not have a very deep midfield which players would then be a little concerned
about getting pushed back in the line for a game from the Bulldogs and may be shaken out. The comment
is from another team looking in, sorry for the tardy reply as I had the Hyphen Team of the last 54 years to
attend last night two Bulldog ex-players got in Danny Del-Re and the much travelled Simon Minton-Connell
got a gig which was not to be sneezed at.
Celebrating 54 Years Of Hyphenation:
B: Robert Forster-Knight, Lewis Roberts-Thomson, Ed Vickers-Willis
HB: Darcy Byrne-Jones, David Rhys-Jones, Rod Lester-Smith
C: Sam Petrevski-Seton, Sam Powell-Pepper, Nathan Lovett-Murray
FOLL: Callum Coleman-Jones, Cameron Ellis-Yolmen, Alex Neal-Bullen
HF: Will Hoskin-Elliott, Simon Minton-Connell, Che Cockatoo-Collins
F: Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti, Danny Del-Re, Trent Dennis-Lane
I/C: Luke Davies-Uniacke, George Horlin-Smith, Trent Ormond-Allen, John Peter-Budge
Only 41 players to choose from and thin on the ruck stocks, but a sexy team overall of honest toilers.
Very very good defender.Take it with a grain of salt but we’ve enquired about Sam Reid from the swans. Makes sense if Daniher goes there / back up if Bruce doesn’t work out.
Yet they'll try and bend the Saints over to get Jack to the Cats in the same week. **** I hate Geelong. Is anyone else sick to death of the trade period already? The constant posturing by club officials, playing things out through the media and illogical reading between the lines is absolutely farcical.
Today Damien Barrett called Orazia Fantasia immature for not coming out publicly to clarify his situation. The guy is contracted and on his end of season break, he doesn't owe anyone a god damned thing! Does every interstate player under contract that is playing for a Melbourne based club need to declare their intentions before going home for their annual break?
Yesterday we had Simon Lethlean intimating that Josh Bruce was worth a 2nd round pick, the caveat being that not all 2nd rounders are equal and that an early 2nd is preferable to a late 2nd. When did this fascination with early, mid and late tiers within a round begin? Clubs will stall and haggle and agonise over a handful of places within the current draft order yet throw away future picks, which can land anywhere, without hesitation.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could just keep things simple? If the Saints and Dogs both agree that Bruce is worth a 2nd Round pick then OUR second round pick should suffice.
Tomorrow looks like seeing the Tim Kelly trade go through and once again the stakes have been raised. Trading used to be a player for player or pick for player scenario. Then it became multiple picks for players, then multiple 1st rounders and now for the first time we will see the three picks under 30 precedent. Where does it end? And to think this has come from Geelong who were on the other end of this when Dangerfield wanted to come home. You would think the old adage of 'swings and roundabouts' would come in to play but I guess not.
I must be getting old because I've lost all patience for the circus that this time of year has become...end rant!
Wait, What? They're probably giving up 33 for Steven. That's saints ripping Geelong offYet they'll try and bend the Saints over to get Jack to the Cats in the same week. fu** I hate Geelong.
Saints also paying 400k of contractWait, What? They're probably giving up 33 for Steven. That's saints ripping Geelong off
That'd be about right imo. Last heard Cats were pushing for a pick in the 50s.Wait, What? They're probably giving up 33 for Steven. That's saints ripping Geelong off
gentleman and a scholar. good luck to saints as well in 2020.Cheers for the replies guys
Exciting times to be a WB supporter - Bruce & Keith completes your spine with that awesome midfield.
Good luck for 2020
i don't believe mclean is up for trade. he has a lot of upside and i think the inner sanctum knows that. he will stay at the dogs for a long time. when he was starting to play good footy this year, he had an injury and took him a while to get back. he is a great player for us and is a long term player for us imho.Throughout the whole year I honestly thought Mclean was going to ask for a trade but I can't see it happening now. I think Mclean would be great for you guys though!
Hey guys,
Have heard that we (Hawthorn) have a bit of interest in Gowers but seems like he dropped don the pecking order with you guys. Any particular reason for that?

Was it basically a case of Gowers out & Dale in from the start of the year though?Dale, Lloyd and Naughton came into the forward line this year.
Ah cheers, didn't realise he got injured. Yeah I heard the whisper we were interested a couple months ago but haven't heard much since so not too sure if the interest is still there. After round 11 he went down with an ankle injury, came back through the VFL a few weeks later but just couldn't find the goals and so never received a call up. Probably needed the reminder that he needs to work hard to get games because he definitely wasn't playing as well as he was last season. A few people here have written him off but I think there's a good chance he'll work his way back into the 22 next season. Would be surprised if we traded him as Bevo likes him well enough.
As others have said, form was choppy, and he also got injured this year so the season was pretty disappointing. I rate him as having a good ceiling, but am not sure whether he'll do much more with us, especially since Dale (and Wallis when he returns) will probably be ahead of him in the pecking order.Hey guys,

can have moments of brilliance juxtaposed with moments of utter shitness...needs to work on reducing the number of brain farts he has during a game, but undoubtedly has the tools to be a very good medium forward. A mixed bag all round with some real strengths and clear weaknesses. Difficult one to predict where he will go from here; could turn it around and become an excellent player or slide towards mediocrity..Hey guys,

We'd come to regret it, but fair trade right now is probably just some pick upgrades.Could be a canny trade by the Hawks. What's a fair trade for Gowers?
I’ll even drive him to Waverley if you like. No charge!Hey guys,
