It’s interesting. We likely have the picks to do it. Not sure he’s a need or he’s where the cap space should go.Come down to a bidding war who was prepared to offer up the best deal. We aren't listed as one of the 4 clubs interested. Most likely a 1st rnd pick below 7 and depending on how far clubs want to take maybe an additional 2nd rnd pick
Apparently heavily backended deal. How heavy is the question. This pick 7 deal just can’t be for Bowes. Surely there’s a catch to take another contract off the books as well, like McPherson, Atkins etc

He was heavily linked to Carlton last time. We need a wing pretty desperately if true.So have been told that Lachie Hunter is 100% gone the team and coaches are all off him.. compulsive liar even skipped the dogs mad Monday and went to the Carlton mad Monday so the boys didn’t know he was drinking and getting on it… if he doesn’t find a home the dogs will pay out his contract..
What’s the cost? How backended is his contract, must be pretty big?
He is a 187cm defender ……. we don’t need anymore medium sized defenders as we have heaps now. We can play 3-4 in the team and we have Bailey Dale, Ed Richards, Jason Johanason, Caleb Daniel, Bailey Williams, Luke Cleary, Cody Raak, Taylor Durea, Tim O Brien, Hayden Crozier, Roark Smith …. plus Cordy, Khamis, Keath and Gardiner.
Who will he replace as we need tall KPD.

If true, it sound like he’s a borderline alcoholic. Is he not allowed to drink at the Dogs hence skipping mad Monday?

Highly I’d say given pick 7 also. There’s no way we should be even contemplating this. . I’d Ed keeps up his progress he can have some of that coin. What’s the cost? How backended is his contract, must be pretty big?
Is he an interceptor like Weddle? I probably haven’t seen as much of Bowes to comment as I thought he was a big bodied mid forced to play in defence. We have a offensive half back in Dale.
We have 1 rebounding defender in Richards.
We have no good medium rebounder, as Raak, OBrien, Crozier, Williams and Khamis; aren’t up to it (Crozier use to be good in this role). Cleary is still developing…
Duryea is our only small lockdown defender. Bowes could play that role too.
JJ is gone (finally), Caleb isn’t a defender…. Why do you even include him on this list?
We really need a medium rebound defender. I was hoping we draft Ginbey or Weddle for this role in the first round of the draft (as it’s a huge need)…. Getting Bowes changes this equation. Then we could look at drafting developing 2 talls like Barnett or Hayes. It would be crazy to pass up an elite medium defender at our first pick, since we have a glaring hole at medium defender too.
Yes we need a KPD but after Busslinger (who may be available at pick 7) there isn’t a ready to go one. I am keen to get up the order to pick 5 which isn’t far from pick 7….
Could mean that Busslinger might be a possibility thought short term pain long term gainIt’s interesting. We likely have the picks to do it. Not sure he’s a need or he’s where the cap space should go.
Yep and would cost the same given Pies will pay a portion.Eight clubs? Yet Grundy is just sitting there. The world has gone crazy.
So Hunter went to the Carlton mad Monday the week before we played in an Elimination final? So have been told that Lachie Hunter is 100% gone the team and coaches are all off him.. compulsive liar even skipped the dogs mad Monday and went to the Carlton mad Monday so the boys didn’t know he was drinking and getting on it… if he doesn’t find a home the dogs will pay out his contract..
Didn't Carlton's season end 2 weeks before ours though? So have been told that Lachie Hunter is 100% gone the team and coaches are all off him.. compulsive liar even skipped the dogs mad Monday and went to the Carlton mad Monday so the boys didn’t know he was drinking and getting on it… if he doesn’t find a home the dogs will pay out his contract..
Questioning something you read on BF???? Next you’ll be telling me there’s stuff on FB that isn’t trueSo Hunter went to the Carlton mad Monday the week before we played in an Elimination final?
Yeah right mate.

I'd be stunned if he went out on the drink with Carlton before our final and still played.

Absolute joke of a football club.“GOLD Coast is set to dangle pick No.7 as the draft sweetener for clubs vying to take on Jack Bowes and the two remaining years on his contract”

For sure, you aren't just absorbing Bowes into cap space and getting pick #7. Still it is a fireable offence though.I think people are getting the wrong idea about the Suns using 7 for Bowes. It probably just means they are open to using it in any potential deal. They aren’t just going to dump a top 10 pick.
As a hypothetical something like Bowes + 7 for pick 11 is probably more along the lines of what they’d be trying to do.
Depending on how much $ it is, it’s more likely 7 + Bowes for a couple of seconds.
