Haven’t heard that so can’t comment on the legitimacy and didn’t say Ralph was legitimate just reported what was Said.

But if it was for ports first and change I’d do it. I think Bont, Macrae, Libba, Treloar, Smith is enough for your inside mid rotation with some pinch hitters going through like west etc. mids aren’t hard to draft and if trading him give us cap space and assets to address needs I’d do it

I’m all for hypotheticals but Ben McKay is not happening. He’s a free agent at the end of 2023 and assuming North will still be s**t (and he gets a big enough offer) that probably nets them pick #2 or #3. I don’t see what we could come up with this year that is more tempting for North than pick #2 in 12 months time.

I’m on board for freeing up cap space and getting in his ear to join as a free agent at the end of next season.

We've chased Ben McKay a number of times and he's turned us down each time.

Assuming he gets out as a free agent at the end of 2023 which clubs do you think would appeal to him and would target a KPD on big money.

Fine with Lobb. Assume we don’t want to put Bruce into the ruck so gives us a genuine second option, also recurrence rates for ACL’s are high and Bruce isn’t young. If Jamarra just has to bang down the door that’s not the end of the world.

Absolutely must land a KPD as well. I like Logue and Payne. We could do worse than Tom Highmore as an interceptor too. Need to find a small defender as well but reckon that can be a mature draftee. System also needs an overhaul to actually give our backline half a chance as many others already said

Martin is cooked and we need a mature replacement. Sam Darcy is probably it in the long term but we need someone in the interim.

We couldn't get another ruck last year whether it was Soldo or anyone else. Lobb isn't going to play ahead of Darcy or Meek.

It's the same old story, it's great to want to get big fish to come to the Dogs, it's another making it happen.

I really wanted Tom Highmore in his draft year, he’d be playing over O’Brien. Lobb, Payne, Highmore in the trade period, then a KPD in the draft and Josh Kellet from the Scray in the rookie draft, would be a very good off season.

Gee this board overrates Dunkley.
We get a pick and a good KPD out of him I'm more than satisfied.
He's Callan Ward with worse disposal. Solid but no star. Good citizen, with a nice career ahead but nothing more.

Agree that we overate Dunkley.

That is why I disagree that we will get much for him.

Wouldn’t be against getting Nathan Broad, free agent I believe.

Considering we have been taken to the cleaners by 2 small forwards in the past 3 weeks, you would think we could utilise an athletic mid sized defender who we could assign those jobs.

I'm certainly on board. We need a good mid sizer down there.
