I understand the sentiment but this is defintely no true. Most Port supporters would love to see us miss finals again next year and plan for 2024. Dunkley is the perfect age to be a factor moving forward post-Hinkley and that’s probably the main factor in our thinking atm

I can certainly agree that would be the club's line of thought. Having said that I could see the supporters turning on him very quickly. Particularly if you guys have to give up a fair bit to acquire him

I don’t agree with overpaying either.
I just pointed out the humour in no contract Dunkley flog, contracted Lobb ok, Bell douche, Power beast mode. All based on who we support lol.

The trade stuff is fun though, it’s like a whole new sport, and the fans seem to love it.

I think the Ward comparison is pretty spot on.

I don’t think anyone here wants to lose him but ultimately the return we’ll get presents some exciting opportunities.

Ward is a good comparison. Dunkley is similar in most ways except a worse kick, handball, and slower but better overhead.

It'll be interesting to see what we get.

Some scuttlebutt about the sun's possibly offloading a few players to avoid a GWS situation.

Most of the ones we'd want would be off limits but one that stands out to me is Ned Moyle.

Whilst I think getting Hunters salary off the books is a good thing for us and I really want to move past him in the team - we better have someone lined up to replace him if we do ship him off, going to pull what’s remaining of my hair out if our plan to replace him is another rotation of Scott, McComb & McNeil like this year

I would think that he's trying to justify his decision to leave the club... but now I'm speculating.

I do like the drama of this trade stuff, like I said it’s now a sport in its own right it seems.
