Not sure why we are into Ginnivan since his pressure and tackling is ordinary. He has had one tackle or zero in 5 of his 8 games this year, and averages one goal a game. Didn't think he was as good as hyped last year either, and was riding off his ANZAC Day game performance for the most part. Had some hot games in front of goal, but was up and down. Our smalls are already too inconsistent as it is, and we need more pressure not less.

Questioning this year sure but he kicked 40 goals last year that's not just Anzac day hype

I wouldn’t take anything from the SuperCoach IQ twitter account

So the departure of Smith has suggested that assistant coaches have to be given notice of their contract situation by August for the next year. Does this suggest that it means Spangher & Webb will be retained as they were also both supposed to be out of contract?

It means there's hope.

I did point out he kicked a few goals in my post. But it would be a good game, followed by two quiet games. He kicked 3 or more in 7 of his 23 games, 11 of those was 1 or 0 goals. Hence my comment on being inconsistent. More than half his games in 2022 did feature one or zero tackles. Hence my comment on we need smalls who can routinely get us tackles inside 50.

Would definitely rather play Arty or Clarke

If all the Smiths go, my hopes of one day hearing an interchange described in commentary as "Bevo pulls the trigger with Smith and West on" will be dashed unless it happens this year.
NW is Denis Cometti confirmed.

I blame you Foxman98 lol

Nothing reporting.
  • No actual evidence that we're into Ginnivan specifically
  • No mention of a source of any kind (i.e., the source is what was posted here)
  • "Could stay or could go!"

Next.

We need both

However Arty Flea West McNeil Garcia and Scott are only averaging 1 tackle inside 50 anyway hence adding another goal kicker who actually crumbs as cheap depth isn’t the worst

I'd be down for it if its not a top 25-30 pick. As cheap depth as you said. But wouldn't give up something high for him personally. I reckon if he doesn't crack into the team again this season, Pies might let him go for a little less.

Also I think people are putting the two and two together anyway, with the Dogs looking at the Pies. Recruiters attend many opposition teams VFL games, means nothing really, as its their job. For all we know we could be looking at Macrae or both, or someone else just as much. Guess we will know more once silly season begins after the Grand Final.

Would Ginnivan be that cheap?

I don’t really see the need to pursue him anyway, but he’s a 20yo having a quiet year after a 40 goal season.

He wouldn't be a bargain.

Collingwood seem to be a club we have a decent relationship with Treloar Roughie Lippa so can easily see it being for a later pick given his lack of game time this year and their clear unwillingness to play him

He should be. They are playing Bobby Hill ahead of him no longer making him a first 22 player in their structure.

Also basically all of their better forwards are smalls to medium smalls

I knew there must have been a reason we bent Brisbane over getting them to cough up Geelongs 4th round pick this year
