Nothing to do with that. Nor because "he gets better the longer he doesn't play"You'd think he'd have played 20 games an average 25 touches and a goal a game not played 2 average 10 touches and kick 1 goal total
Maybe some here actually have an alternative opinion and feel he has some potential and talent to work with? Thats not pumping him up or talking him like the messiah.
The club has a long history of keeping downright ordinary players on the list for years, who have reached their ceiling. Or players have been given 5 or 6 or 10 games in a row, and done sweet nothing before they are finally dropped. Bedendo showed some decent signs in his two games last year, which unfortunately happened to be two away games to two top 4 teams. He did some nice things, and loved his goal. But unfortunately he didn't get a run at it, like plenty who have done worse than him did. His issue isn't the lack of talent, he has just been unfortunate with injuries this year.
Maybe some here are just wanting the club to not throw away a player that they feel still has growth in them and an unknown ceiling and rather see him get a proper run at it if he can keep healthy. I'd rather we cut those who have been on the list for years and been giving countless chances and have not grown much if at all. The club is very inconsistent with differing rules for different players. Some get kissed on the D with getting 10 games of nothing, where another would get one or two etc.
If he has to make room, then so be it. If the club feels he has no growth left fine. But don't cut purely because of injury when we pretty much have carried players like Rourke though 100 injuries. But if he goes, and someone like McComb whom has already hit his ceiling stays on the list, then of course I'd raise an eyebrow to that.
