IF, the initial rumors of us willing to give up picks 10, 17 and a F1 were true. Surely we'd be demanding a couple of players off them if we are paying that much? I'd ask for Hollands and Graham if we were to give up that much.

Also on the talk of a new back up ruck. Wasn't Moyle the player other clubs were enqueuing about last off season or something? Surely he becomes surplus to the Suns if they choose to match a bid on their academy prospect? Any regular VFL watchers know if he had a good season this year?

Ah getting over Baz. Don't mind him getting sponsorships etc, but being a billboard for Monster is a step too far.

Kids are looking up to him and to be promoting them rubbish energy drinks, is pretty disgusting imo

Better that than the sports washing of Cash Converters that some of the games elite players lend their names to.

I'll never understand why these guys are willing be associated with the biggest bottom feeders this side of SEN.

Oh, thats right....they're immoral greedy campaigners, so they're perfect fit.

Was encouraged by the Baz interview and story, particularly when he said he wanted to "win" and the "red, white and blue was the best place to do it."

Admitted to previously being obsessive with his training so I see him using some spare time to pursue his business interests as good news. Baz is maturing.

Also admitted to not always buying into playing forward and I think that helps explain his relatively poor 2023.

His 2021 proved he can play, Baz getting back to that, along with Sam Darcy starting to make an impression would be a huge boost to our 2024 IMO.

Norf absolutely do not need a priority pick or picks over 2 years if they get pick 3 for McKay.

They are improving quickly as it is, and may also get the best player in this years draft.

This is just setting them up to be a powerhouse FFS
The priority picks in the National Draft are a joke. Should be given access to state league players, more soft cap, bigger list, etc. before assuming more early picks in a shit development system solves the problem.

Oleg Markov is about to line up in a Grand Final and was a free hit North should have taken. Did they even ask about Josh Bruce when we brought Lobb in? Are they targeting Travis Boak now?

I actually wouldn’t mind a system where if a team finishes bottom 4 for 2 years in a row they get and extra $[X] in soft cap for a period. Or and extra $[X] salary cap and 2 list spots to bring in players with 10+ years AFL experience, and then those players are excluded from soft cap if they transition to coaching / off-field roles with the same club. If clubs are at least trying to do the Daniel Cross / Luke Hodge thing and still aren’t improving then we can talk about priority picks.

It’s ridiculous how people attack Bailey for his outside interests and business ventures. Plenty of players spend their free time playing video games, or watching other sports. Who cares as long as it’s not impacting their ability to get the best out of themselves. If he was skipping training for some Cotton On promotional work, that’d be a different story but that’s not the case

Producing a garbage podcast and running promos for Coles Express hot pockets didn’t distract Dunkley from putting together a B&F season in 2022.

Wow, Jordan Croft has a twin brother that plays volleyball at the AIS? Rumour has it Sammy Power is lining up a Cat B rookie spot for him as we speak.
Suspect you’re being facetious but for a serious take, from a quick search Mitchell Croft played top age Under-16s in 2021 (Jordan polled 11 votes in the league B&F, Mitchell polled 8 votes). Believe he would need to not play any football in 2024 to take him to 3 years out of the game for Category B availability.

Someone posted a while back that Mitchell was 203cm when Jordan was 198cm. The enhanced prospect of getting Mitchell in 12-24 months should feed in to the willingness to match a bid.

Your suspicions were correct, however it’s definitely some food for thought, considering the initial success of JOD (albeit, a small sample size).

Can never have too many freakishly athletic KPPs, however our matching of a Croft bid would be made far more palatable should we manage to take two picks beforehand in the first round.

Monster is an official AFL partner so Baz isn’t exactly alone here

Lol what's wrong with Cash Converters? Pawn shops serve a function in the market for those who are willing to accept lower returns on used products to avoid private sales. They also provide convenience for those looking to buy used products. Of course they pay less and charge more than the private market would so that they can create a margin; the trade off is the convenience they provide and the facilitation of trade, which is a value add to the broader economy.

James Mulligan was truly a pioneer in this regard.

The only way I’d be comfortable with trading our 2024 first rounder to Gold Coast is if we get their 2024 first rounder back. All on the line pick swap, see if the suns reckon they’ll be better than us next year - which is possible, particularly with Hardwick.

That won’t happen so the alternative for me would be to not take Croft and use our draft picks. Which I’d be more than fine with. Or he might slide and we can take him later, even better.

Selling our future for a 170cm small forward would be bizarre, if he’s our target. He’d better be pocket rocket Jesus Christ at that cost.

Even doing a swap of our 2024 first for their 2024 second would be gross.

Fortunately I don’t see Sam Power pulling the trigger on moving next years first rounder, because he’s not insane.

Oh I remember being young and naive thinking Mulligan and Jarrod Bourmann were going to be future stars as athletic talls, not to mention Guy O’Keefe kicking 2-3 snags a game from a HFF.

I distinctly remember a crowd on here getting very excited when Bourmann kicked a bag for Williamstown reserves … that’s right, not even Williamstown but their reserves.

Plus they give Victoria Police a live feed of every single item they buy. If you get robbed then you really want the crooks flogging your stuff to Cash Converters.
