So they actually have enough salary cap space to consider what the world with Butters and Rowell would look like in the next few years.

Talk about future proofing the midfield in a post-Libba&Ads world:

Main rotation:
Bont (29) Mid/Forward split - kicks 35 goals
Richards (25) Star. Pure speed and damage
Butters (24) Libba 2.0
Rowell (23) Libba 3.0
Kennedy (28) Dunkley 2.0

Youth:
Freijah (19) Right footed Bont
Sanders (20) Classy/Treloar 2.0?
Hynes (19) Bull, goalkicker

Great mix of height, speed, class, goals, hard nuts and heart. Would genuinely be suffocating for other teams.

Unlikely to happen, but even if you take Rowell out of the mix that is still an ELITE midfield group.

Not only will we have survived losing Dunkley, Smith, Macrae, potentially Libba and Treloar in consecutive seasons but we have targeted and recruited like for like replacements and not lost out on quality.

Will be a huge off season

Sammy and the recruiting team have done an outstanding job, but how do you replace Libba?
Butters is brillent but he doesn't live in the coal face like Libba, Rowell is closer to Libba but he looks less likely to depart the suns.

When sides come hard at us we just roll over. I don't see a capable finals side with us, we are capable of exhilarating football when given time and space.

When the heat comes we don't stand up. A good side puts the Hawks to the sword with what they had missing from the team. They come out with intensity and once again we cannot cope such a fragile team.

I feel this is as much a game style issue as it is a personnel issue.
