Hey everyone, I come in peace

Have heard some rumours about Buku being linked with St Kilda

From what I've seen, he's a decent third tall whether it'd be up forward or down back but my question is, can he play as a lockdown small defender? He's a bit small at 189cm for a third tall although I am aware that he's very athletic. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

Good luck for this weekend, huge game! Cheers
Better up forward. Finds space, can take a serious grab and he’s actually not too bad at separating himself from our other key forwards.

His issues down back is that you get not much from ground ball gets and a very conservative distributor. Not going to provide rebound and too undersized to be a key defender.

Best suited as 3rd tall forward who can kick you 2-3 goals.

Short answer is no his ground game and pressure isn't good enough for that role

With the AFL landscape changing in terms of how early players announce their movements

I wonder if Jack will announce his free agent move next week
Free agents do tend to announce pretty soon after their season ends. Would be a nice shot in the arm if he did declare for the Dogs

Would be pretty amazing that a Silvani has spent more time at the kennel in August than one of our listed players.

That was not on my bingo card this year.

Good to lock him in before he gets another AA blazer in a few weeks!
You’d think that second HBF is between him and Zorko. Clark dropped off a touch the last 6 weeks.

Great business extending him this early.

What happened to Scrag? I wasn’t on here for a while.
He threatened to quit over something (can't recall what exactly) and when it happened he deleted his account. But then just came back with multiple ult accounts. Bigfloppa is his main one now.

No. he's a mark /kick kinda player best suited as a 2nd or 3rd tall forward.

He's very good at this aspect of the game.

Not so much at the ground ball or defensive aspects of the game and is a little prone to ball watching when the ball isn't kicked to him.

Or: What everyone else said.

Anyone nominating Scrag alts is a bit suss, creating diversions and all.

Hmm
Leaving Homer Simpson GIF

More likely when his desired club isn’t in finals anymore, you’d think. But of a distraction.

Barrass requested a trade to Hawthorn before the finals. Didn't prove to be a distraction as they whooped our sorry butts

But I did find it weird and something that I would have wanted to putt off if I was the club. Doesn't seem ideal having one or a couple of guys going into finals thinking that their spots are going to get taken the next season

He's worth nothing in terms of trade picks. .
If we're paying Silvani his salary next year instead of paying Marra, at this stage that looks like a net positive
Jack will not be coming to the Dogs, after a fitness test did not come back very positively

My biggest issue with him also from the outside looking in. Love the player and free agent status meaning we don't have to trade anything, but he has really missed a lot of games over the last few years for a rash of different injuries and struggled to stay on the park.
