Loved seeing him return to the club to fill a much needed role down back.

Wish we'd got a full career out of him as a defender.

Watching Liam repeatedly out jump the opposition and spoil the ball over the last month in the VFL has had me constantly question what we were doing playing Busslinger in front of him at the pointy end of the season.

Sucks I was hoping he'd get 1 year extension. Good depth and had a good run of form in the VFL.

Gardner was better than Jones in the VFL... should we be playing Gardner?

Jones delisting not unexpected. Feel a bit for Anthony Scott who got knocked around with concussions. When in the side he always made good contributions.

Given it's been two weeks or more since we were linked to Wilkie. It seems a little odd for a guy who allegedly loves and is grateful for the start that they've given him. His management or St.Kilda have yet to put the kibosh on the possibility of him moving club. It would be simplest of things for any one of these entities to put out a one sentence statement saying that hes not going anywhere.

Even if it remains a longest of shots. That its come this far without being quashed, seems to suggest that its still a live chance of happening.

In my opinion Gardner was not. Jones was the stand out in the backline of the VFL over the last month. He dominated the air. Gardner still repeatedly spoiled Liam. Gardner has bugger all awareness.

List spots are tight for us, it seems like we only have a few delist / trade options, So Jones was always going to be in a vulnerable position.
Loved Jones’ leadership & has been effectively another coach. Has helped the development of our key backs (Buss has credited him in particular) but given his age it’s now time for us to back Buss / JOD in.

I thought any news for Jones would have been after the trade period, but at the same time Jones probably wants his own security sooner rather than later. Really hope we have 1 at a minimum all but locked in, but realistically we need to bring in 2 KPD’s as we needed at least 1 over what we had this season.

Or we are giving Gards more game time
