cant see us being involved in Florent at this late stage, most likely trying to secure a better pick for Buku as part of the deal.

On a wing I think he is fine and depth and gives us more flexibility with Williams

He was offered in the deal but the thinking is Carlton would prefer an extra pick rather then Florent.

Florent doesn't have the height/marking capability Davidson has. I'd excuse Davidson having a few moments in his first year, I think next year we will see him go to another level and his overall endeavour/Toughness doesn't worry me.

There has been no indication we are paying any of his contract and it is getting ripped up

Do you believe this number is real, or is it like the 20 people supposedly around him when a gun went off outside Love Machine … when CCTV later showed was actually just him plus the 2 guys fighting?

Who knows? What I do know is that Ive been to Framlingham and it's such a small community. That the passing of 12 people over the space of the year would be a big deal and probably a scandal that would warrant further investigation. FWIW when he trotted out that figure recently is the moment that I left the bandwagon.

At some level whether it’s 1 or 12 it doesn’t really matter, but I suspect people at the club just don’t believe a single thing he says.

It was obvious that the club had parked him when he couldn't meet the obligations set for him top return to the club, train regularly and through the VFL before they would even contemplate a return to the AFL side. I suspect that given his comments at that time that implied he believed he could just walk back into the side after a few training sessions that he didn't take a return through the VFL very well. It was pretty obvious that from that point on his time at the club was done.

I don't think he's being paid to be "fine" as "depth." He was signed at his peak and has come off that in a big way since then.
