Just a quick question who else would you think that could go at years end before him?

The Richmond website has him listed at just 70kgs.

Nathan Brown is listed at 80kgs.

It doesn't look good because Danny has done nothing to suggest he will make it. It's definately an uphill battle but I think the first step is to put on 5-6kgs over the next year.

He's a rake benny and that is a large part of the problem. He just gets bumped off the ball too easily in the contest and has absolutely no physical presence.
When Meyer is out there it truly is a case of boys against men. He doesn't look like he has the physiche to be able to bulk up much at all and you have to be exceptional to be so slight at the top level. Danny shows good skills the rare times he gets it but he ain't exceptional.

No was offered only a 1yr deal after his initial two year contract.

Simche, if he couldn't find the pill he would have never been scouted.
He is no superstar but I think will be a solid contributor in the long term.
I agree with you in putting him at half back.
Not every guy will be a star right away and some never will.
A perfect example of a late bloomer is Goddard from St.Kilda. Number One Draft pick and only now starting to repay them.
Daniel Jackson is slowly starting to repay the faith put in him by the RFC.
We need to keep our young guys in the system or we must rebuild from step one again.
I personally do not want to wait until 2020.

was never a big possesion getter as a junior. was drafted primarily for his kicking and pace. another example of rfc useing early picks on players who are not well rounded. imo is still skinny and still cant find enough of the ball.
i agree with others though and think hbf for a few weeks. also would delist a shedload before him, hence would give him one more yr even though he is expendable atm.

Preferably one not involving Meesen. How about our 3rd rounder for Meyer? I'm not sold on Schulz as he's averaging less than 6 possessions per game in his career! Sure he can take a contested mark and chip in with a few goals, but he's not going to get a whole lot better IMO.

Meyer’s a different story though. Ton of upside, just needs the right environment. Everything I’ve read seems to indicate he’s not very motivated and he’s just going through the motions. Well I believe that can change, so that’s why I’m interested. However we have our own disinterested player, Luke Jericho, and I’m his biggest detractor. So I know what it’s like, but I believe Meyer could snap out of it back home.

i think there are a few more players i would trade b4 i went for danny meyer, he has shown he can play footy when he wants, i think we give him another year and see if he can get his head screwed on right, if he does then we will see he has real potential if not well then he is up 4 grabs

Thats the entire point! He clearly has some talent but struggles with work ethic or something similar. We should either give him a year and put alot of pressure on him at the club or trade while he still has some value
