Neither hahalolski report. Did not read a single line after this.
Good luck to him if he can get a regular spot and go home, good enough to play.FYI Markov has flown to Adelaide today.
Yes, I know he is an Adelaide boy - but think there is a reasonable chance he’ll be at Port or the Crows in 2020.
Dusty must be joining norf after this contract since nobody got paid.Phillyroo didn't close s**t. Heisenberg_ did you ever get paid?
I heard he was Darth Vader dressed up near Jolimont trying to raise the funds for Heisenberg_ all year.......Phillyroo didn't close s**t. Heisenberg_ did you ever get paid?

OK. Here is my completely insane trade idea, for us to get more trade currency. Please hear me out before shooting me.
Trade Rance.
Now - this is contingent on a couple of things.
1. He has to want to go. I don't think he does - he seems very happy in Melbourne, building a fledgling media career, and why would you want to go home to Perth anyway? But, maybe, he does.
2. We get a minimum of a Top-10 draft pick PLUS a gun U24 kid. Probably more. This is like the Eagles trading Judd, where they got Kennedy, and Pick 3. It might take a 3-4 way deal to organise that.
Why it's a good idea:
1. We have the best defence in the league WITHOUT him - sure, we'll be even better with him. But we have a premiership-winning defence right now.
2. He turns 30 in a week.
3. He's coming off a knee - and his main strength is his enormous agility. How is that going to be affected?
4. We don't have too many HIgh Draft pick KPP kids coming through, and we won't get too many high draft picks over the next few years. If we want high draft picks, we are going to have to put up some currency - Bellis and K-Mac types aren't going to cut it. Yeah, we can wait for Free Agency and pick up the next Lynch or May from the Suns, but there's not a lot of them, and there will be a lot of competition for them.
Why it's a bad idea:
1. He's probably the best defender in the game (although DGrimes might have something to say about that). He fits straight back into our side (Grimes can play on anybody).
2. We are a bit light on for KPDs - do we really think Garthwaite is our future full-back? Our other big defenders (Grimes and Astbury) are 28 and have some injury history. I have no idea how Balta is going to turn out (it's exciting, though).
3. There are some guys who are just heart-and-soul of a club. I think Rance is one of them, and this is why I would only do it IF he wants to go home. Ask old Richmond players about trading away Whale Roberts - not the greatest player, but a great team man. Ripped the heart out of the club. I see Rance has a similar profile within the clubroom walls.
4. Going all in on High Draft picks for big kids is risky - they take many years to get it together, and you usually don't know until year 4 or 5 whether they are going to mkake it. Maybe just wait and trade for them then.
Look - it's all based upon Rance WANTING to go - and I'm not sure he does, and I'd really rather keep him. But he's a cool cat, we know he's a bit left-field, we know he has a very interesting and different life off-field. Who knows? But if he has ever expressed the thought 'I'm happy here, but I'd like to go back home sometime and finish my career in Perth', I think the club should look at that now.
Keeping your list up-to-date is an ongoing management process. You have to be thinking 4-5 years ahead all the time, paricularly with developing kids, like, say, how Rance himself turned out. And, like it or not - players are just assets.

Ellis officially announced that he is exploring free agency
He’ll thrive there I reckon. Will be like Charlie Cameron moving to Lions
Spot on.I'm at the complete opposite end of the scale on this one.
I love Brando and respect what he has done for our club and will always be a tiger, but I'm not sure he is the kind of player who can take them forward to be honest.
Culture wise he will be absolutely fantastic.
Football ability wise I think his game benefitted greatly having so many other good players around him and everyone working as 1, doing their role. He won't get that at the Suns.
They gotta make a start and makes it much easier to sign the next uncontracted player once the locker rooms begins to have a premiership feel to itI'm at the complete opposite end of the scale on this one.

More chance of the Alex Rance scenario from this morning happeningSounds like the suns are looking at trade options for pick 1/2
Do you think we could parcel our r1 + menadue + Macca for no 2
Would love Noah Andersen to be a tiger
Punters might howl me down but I’d consider balta plus r1 to get a top 5 pick if that’s what it tookMore chance of the Alex Rance scenario from this morning happening
In the next 3 or 4 years, if the Tiges were going to have a crack at another big tuna, or couple of highly rated players, who do you guys reckon we need/could do with?
I'm struggling to really think of anyone. Pretty happy with the club and our youth.
Would you accept...Sounds like the suns are looking at trade options for pick 1/2

Perhaps stick to premiership players or those on the fringe of a side that’s won more games than anyone in last 3y and that May filter the ridiculous in your analogy rather than tossing up delisted hacksWould you accept...
Pick #18
Dylan Buckley
Adam Tomlinson
for
Sydney Stack?
Thats pretty much the equivalent.
We need to stop overrating our players when it comes to trade scenarios.
Fair dinkum?Butler staying.
I don't think its ridiculous at all.Perhaps stick to premiership players or those on the fringe of a side that’s won more games than anyone in last 3y and that May filter the ridiculous in your analogy rather than tossing up delisted hacks
