Because they have a parade? Please.... go look at the marriage equality vote results. They are enlightening.
I don't think the assumption is that Sydney is a more accepting or popular place for the gay community to live, but rather, if Moore wanted to keep his sexuality private it would be easier up there. He would be much less recognised within the club scene.

Note: I have no reason to think Moore is gay. I have no reason to think he wants to leave the Pies. I'm just responding to the general assumptions being made on here.

Honestly he has probably done as much If not more in his current career then Moore.

No good having potential if you can't get on the park.
I wont argue with that as i partly agree.

Mcgovern isnt exactly indestructable either though, missing decent chunks of 2018/17.

But its Moore over mcgovern any day of the week for me, our CHB vs a 3rd tall forward. Imagine Moore when he gets the support of Scharenberg and Howe aswell as a fullback to play on the number 1 big guys.

The club went hard to get Murray meaning we have a need for a line breaking HB, who's available?
Wouldn’t be against recruiting someone more accountable 1 on 1 then give Maynard some more attcking minutes at half back. His high disposal games have been really good for us.

I dont mind Appleby, but i wouldnt mind investing for someone abit more established come finals time.

Idealy a bloke abit into his 20’s with some match experience.
Know what you mean in regards to having someone more mature. Reckon Appleby with another preseason and 20 matches will really come into his own though.

I like to read other teams trade threads to get a feel for where other supporters feel their list is at, sometimes there is a little bit of inside info.

But i tell ya what, i think i got Aids reading some of the Tigers threads.

My favourite, Pick 23 and Shai Bolton should get it done for Adam Cerra if he wants to come home.

I know our supporters have thrown up some outrageous trade scenarios, but this is up there..
I don't like to speak out of school but the number of posters throwing around pick 18 like the flag is already decided is disconcerting.
It's not enough to get Lynch, we have to have everyone for fringe players and peanut picks.
Lynch is surely enough.

I reckon we should just go to the draft in terms of defence. Crisp, Maynard, Howe, Langdon, with Greenwood or Appleby to play as close checkers, plus hopefully a couple of fit talls from Moore, Reid, McLarty, Shaz, Magden, Dunn. Add Murphy. We're set short term.

Someone also posted Aish could be converted to HB? I'd also look at Phillips.

Triple M?

He's also reporting that Mitch McGovern is coming to Victoria. His offsider Brayshaw reckons that club is Carlton.

Guess we know how Adelaide are going to try get Lukosius...
McGovern and 7 for Pick 1

Adelaide would do that in a heart beat to secure Lukosius.

I reckon there were two factors at play in McLarty's move forward. One, as you mention, was Moores move back created a void forward. I also reckon they wanted to see what he could do forward. If he did well then that's a big list need filled potentially. If he didn't they could always shift him back again having broadened his development.

The thing that has played against McLarty's selection is a combination of bad luck and a strict selection policy. This year we have consistently brought players into the side to play roles they have been doing at VFL level. We haven't seen players brought up from the VFL into a different AFL role. Even Mihocek had split his time forward and back at VFL level. I reckon, and i'm guessing here, that this selection approach came out of the review as it is different from past seasons.

When a forward role finally presented itself with Reids injury; McLarty had at the same time hurt his ankle. Mihocek was selected and cemented his spot. He never looked back.

I don't think it's a lack of faith from the coaches; just a combination of bad luck, bad timing and a change in selection policy.

I'd be switching McLarty back next season because that is where his best footy has been played. If we don't trade in any ready made key position players I would earmark him in preseason for Dunns role. Until Dunn makes it back. See what he can do.
McClarty forward was in case Cox went down long term wasn’t it?
