Jaksch would be easily best 22 for you guys, that's the key. He's behind too many similar players at GWS in Cameron, Patton, Boyd and Tomlinson, and further than that he's still duking it out for games with guys like McCarthy and Stewart.

You guys are absolutely dreaming if you think GWS are stupid enough to do a trade like that. They may be 'desperate' but they're not incompetent.

It's unfortunate because your first round pick will be tied up with Heeney. Can't really see Sydney trying to get pick 1 considering Heeney is in effect a top 5 pick anyway

I don't see why GWS would be that desperate for Petracca that they would give up their best performing midfielder from the drafts...(Ward best, but from drafts I'd say Shiel > Treloar > Coniglio)

I've never forgotten that Roos was willing to offer 6 and 14 to the tigers for dustin Martin. And you know what - Martin is a good player. But jetta and rohan are serious talents, and I would never do a 2 for 1 deal of this nature. You know what you are losing and it is still speculative what you are getting.

Here's the thing. GWS know full well what it takes to get pick 1, as they have been putting pick 1 on the table previously and presumably demanding a hell of a lot for it, so they will know that if they really want it this year they will have to put up the sort of deal that they were demanding and not receiving in previous years.

Thing is though, they can afford to pay that sort of price, while other clubs that haven't been given the Earth as start-up concessions haven't been able to in recent years.

Fair enough, we'll wait and see what happens. St.Kilda won't be trading pick 1 for a fair trade, it'll have to benefit us quite heavily as Pelchen has already stated.
