Good point Mal. Who can we slot into the vacant hole as our 3rd forward - IF Corey was traded?

I understand Digby could fit the bill, but would he be able to withstand the rigors/pressures of all 22/24 games next season at the elite level?. Where as, Langey is already "match hardened" and this could be the break he's been waiting for to show us his underlying ability.....

Langey had a bad run of injuries this year, but personally I think Diggers is the same sort of player and we don't hear anyone suggesting he be traded.

He is, after all, the same age and correct me if I'm wrong, same build as Langey.

If the bullies are interested i would like to see em giving us 2 of there young guns (Gilbee,Murphy,bowden,guido or hahn) or just Jordan McMahon by himself. That kid has class.

The point I was making was that if we could get a first round draft pick for Adam then I would take it; thereby implying that to get a first round draft pick then you have give up something of value. You don't get first round picks for hacks.

You are right on Lange and Morrell but Lange seems to have fallen out of favour with the selectors.

I would trade Lange or someone similiar to his capability if it would enable us to get another pick in the top 20 this year giving us a total of 3 this year to complement the Harris, Smith, Motlop, Petrie, Jones and Pratt deal of last year.

If we could get another 3 or 4 of similiar quality then this would give us a great nucleas to go forward in the future.

The other thing I forgot to add is that Essendon have used this technique of trading two good average players for a low draft pick and then picking up a high quality youngster.

This depends on how good your recruiting staff are though.
