I have no qualms with the Buttman's contract extension - other than we need to be pumping games into Willy (Nelson) & Nat King (Cole)
I thought it would be Admiral Nelson

Lycett, Mitchell, Priddis & Shuey v Norf RND1 is what you'll most likely see if all are fitSo you see prid and mitch in the same midfield?
Could Mitchell play the spitter role? He does really good work sitting on the back of a contest.

Happy with this. Hopefully it means we are going to look for a new draftee small forward as opposed to recycling a discard, as we did with Bedford, Dick, Bennell.Vozzo said that the Eagles wouldn’t most likely look at youth to fill [the small forward] position via the upcoming drafts, rather than a delisted free agent in the coming weeks.
“We’re not going to look in the free agency period market for that sort of player,” Vozzo said. “We’ll definitely look through the draft period, whether that’s the main draft or the rookie draft.”
Terrible English in the article, assuming they mean they WOULD most likely look to youth.http://www.westcoasteagles.com.au/news/2016-10-24/budget-puts-ballas-on-the-backburner

Also hope it means we go for a specialist small forward instead of a generic small (Hams, Neates, Weedon, Newman, Karps)
Clearly has talent, but things just don't seem to have worked out ever since he initially asked for a trade from Brisbane. I agree he would be a better option than Petrie.mitch clarke has just been delisted. He may be a bit of a ricking time bomb but on a rookie list he would be much better stop gap than the dish.
Barlow officially looking for a new club. I think that we could do a lot worse than to grab him if the price was right. If we are in our premiership window, then he'd add great depth. What's people's thoughts on this?
No chance at all now we got Mitchell.Barlow officially looking for a new club. I think that we could do a lot worse than to grab him if the price was right. If we are in our premiership window, then he'd add great depth. What's people's thoughts on this?
We won't be touching him now.Barlow officially looking for a new club. I think that we could do a lot worse than to grab him if the price was right. If we are in our premiership window, then he'd add great depth. What's people's thoughts on this?
So is today a final list cut off day or something? Everyone getting their final delistings in.
Perfectly summed up.Mr average!Butler has been good but we have to look at our list age as well and bringing sam mitchell in skews that profile.
We cant play him and pridfis in the middle which suggests to me. Mitch will play a lot in defence and hes got poise enough for our entire backline.
Butler often holds us up and allows the opposition a chance to man up when we get a fast break. Good solid player but slow decision maker and i feel hes already superceded.
Would prefer Clarke to Petrie also. Offers more up forward too. Petrie is beyond cooked.
Would prefer Minson or Goodwin to Clark though. After bringing in an historically injury-prone guy in Vardy I think we need someone more durable as the break-glass-in-case-of-emergency option, and Clark doesn't fit that bill.
The only game I saw him play this year was for Peel v EP at Mandurah in the p'ssing rain. I think he had 40 touches that day and was a cut above the rest. We can do worse than grabbing this guy if available.Just get Barlow a jumper that fits FFS.
