Very interesting Macca. So, Tippett is on the table?

At a price. As I posted some time back, everything has a price, be it realistic or not.

Brisbane say that Redden and Polec for Tippett is not realistic.

We reply stiff shit. We didn't really want to trade him anyhow. We only set the bar because you keep asking.

It's not a compromise situation. All or nothing.

Another out-of-contract Saint, Tom Lynch, a first-round draft selection, wants to move to Adelaide, with the Crows and Saints negotiating a deal. St Kilda is only interested in trading for draft picks - wanting a second round draft selection for Lynch - and not players due to its tight salary cap.

The Saints have not received offers for the likes of Jason Gram, Farren Ray or Zac Dawson, who they put on the trading block earlier this week.

The Crows, in contrast, have lost several players and are keen to trade for players rather than draft picks. That has meant Richmond and Sydney have had to review their offers for Ivan Maric and Tony Armstrong respectively.

The likelihood is that the Tigers will talk today about players that might be exchanged for Maric. To date, they have offered only their second pick (No. 37)

Still waiting to hear about this magical mystery trade that will make the Gunstan shafting look tame and have us come out on top.

With all due respect to Tom Lynch, I cannot see it being that trade and I cannot see us getting to excited over anything Richmond will offer.

Oh well, lets continue to wait. They did well with Brad Crouch and Luke Brown, so all is nit lost. However, still very disappointed with what we received for Gunston.

what an interesting few days we have in store...:thumbsu::thumbsu:

What about Tippett and pick 24 for Redden and Polec?

I still believe Brisbane are going to make another attempt for Kurt this year.

Brisbane aren't going to trade away two key pieces of their midfield. It could only be one player and a pick

I don't think Polec and pick 8 is a bad combination. That will give us two very good young mids.

Again, I'd only entertain these deals if Tippett has signalled internally that he's intending to leave at the end of next year.

Shhhhh!!!

You just got me. :D

I was keeping that one up my sleeve. :)

Hypothedically because that's all we can deal with at the moment on the Kurt Tippett trade, but if that deal did get up would you see any existing midfilders (Douglas, Knights, Reilly, Mackay et el) be in any trouble?

Would we move to deal one or two come Sunday or Monday afternoon?

Desperate people do desperate things. I think Brisbane will be desperate to land a big Queensland fish to sell to their supporters.

That was my starting point - Redden and pick 8. The Crows asked for Redden and Polec. Either would do me. But nothing less.
Heck, I'd throw in #24 at the thought of getting Redden in our side but then I remember how weak our forwards would be with losing both Tippett and Gunston.

I think in the end I'll be happy with whatever happens as we will either see Tippett play with a new structure or have another couple of new players!

Yeah, shit will crack wide open if they offer one of Redden/Polec and pick 8, and I think they will, such is their desperation for someone to replace Clark.

Redden + Pick 8 might be enough on it's own, but we'd request a sweetener if it's Polec.

Tippett and Douglas for Redden and Polec?

I wouldn't insult Brisbane by trying to include Reilly. I'd hate to lose Mackay, and I'm keen to keep Knights more than Douglas.

Never throw in picks if you can avoid it. We could draft Curran or Frost to replace Tippett with that pick or we could trade for Lycett, Howard or Lynch. Every pick has some value, don't toss them away if you can help it.

Not that desperate, no point in having Tippett if you don't have a midfield that can kick it to him, we should know:o

i am concerned about the Maric trade.

Cameron told the Crows that they are not prepared to give up compo pick and that we could have 37 and a player.

Problem is that they dont have anything we would really want outside of their jets.

Connors not that wrapt with.

Nason no.

Thursfield no thanks.

I wouldnt mind Helbig but they would not want to let him go.

We have traded for quality so far.

I dont want spuds being traded for.

Richmond in my view screwed us over big time with Tambo.

We dont want to let them do it again.

I don't think so.

Sanderson has to get the confidence of this group of players, and if we trade players other than those that asked to be traded - given the number of them that we already are - it would be unsettling.
